The Block’s Marty Fox claimed that even he couldn’t sell Han and Can’s main bedroom.

As a contestant on The Block, the last thing you probably want to happen during a room reveal is a judge groaning into his hands and saying, “Ugh, I hate it.” Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to Han and Can from House 2 on Sunday night.

The girls’ use of bright blue throughout the room left the judges *almost* speechless. Not quite, but almost.

“I hate it,” Marty Fox said instantly, with his hands covering his face. “I actually hate it. I actually want to vomit. I’m great at selling, and not even I can sell this room.”

“Oh, that’s brutal,” Shaynna Blaze replied.

Darren agreed, but was a little less harsh, saying that he thought the paint colour was “wrong,” adding, “It’s so abrasive, it’s so intense, and it actually is really throwing off everything else that we see in here. Thankfully, it’s very easy to fix, and I absolutely would change it.”

The three judges then decide to do a little restyling session, showing that a darker blue would look much better alongside the ocre details throughout the room.

After they made the changes, Marty said he could now sell the room.

Moving to the walk-in-wardrobe, Marty and Darren say they think it’s a beautiful room, but Shaynna points out that the walk-in, the bedroom and the ensuite are all so different.

She added that the girls should ditch the Wes Anderson colour palette, because they “don’t have the eye for it,” and instead they should lean into the ’60s vibe of their ensuite.

It quickly became clear on social media that viewers were divided over Han and Can’s main bedroom, with several loving the “bold and brave” room.

“I loved it!” one viewer wrote. “Bold and brave! Things are swinging away from millennial grey minimalist and more to fun electric pops of colour! Just before your time gals. Teal and mustard are stunning!”

“I really love the vibrancy, but they should’ve made the back wall a darker, richer, luxurious blue,” another said.

“The blue is terrible,” a third said, while someone else added, “Four out of the five couples always listen and learn. Unfortunately, there is always one that knows it all.”

“Absolutely cannot defend you gals this week my god,” another said.

“They should have just brought in the colours from the ensuite and just added some warmth with timber,” one person added. “Instead, the room is an absolute eyesore.”

Others described the room as “cheap and tacky”.
