On BPM Sports in the past few hours, the excellent Ian Laperrière sent a pretty clear message, especially to the Montreal Canadiens.
In short, he said he wants to return, as soon as possible, behind the bench as a coach.
This could be a great opportunity for the Habs organization-either as an assistant to Martin St-Louis or even as a potential future replacement for Pascal Vincent behind the bench of the Laval Rocket.
We know very well that Pascal Vincent will eventually land a position as a head coach in the National Hockey League.
It really does seem like only a matter of time.

Do you think he could be a good option for the Montreal Canadiens organization?
Ian Laperrière, 51 years old, is originally from Montreal (Quebec) and played 1,083 career games in the National Hockey League. He recorded 121 goals and 215 assists for a total of 336 points, along with 1,956 penalty minutes.
Laperrière has plenty of experience. He served as an assistant coach from 2013 to 2022 for the Philadelphia Flyers, and he also held a head coaching role in the American Hockey League.
We sincerely wish him a quick return behind the bench as a coach, just as he hopes.
