It’s not every day a beach walk turns into a run-in with Aussie royalty, but Married At First Sight‘s Katie Johnston had the surprise of her life when she she crossed paths with Terri and Robert Irwin.
Katie was all smiles as she shared photos from the chance encounter during a walk on the Sunshine Coast.
Coincidentally, Katie had dressed for the part in a khaki shirt – talk about manifesting!
“Just @robertirwinphotography and @terriirwincrikey bumping into some MAFS wildlife at the beach,” Katie wrote, before taking a cheeky swipe at her co-stars and the show’s ferocious dinner parties.
“Not sure what’s worse, the snapping crocs at @australiazoo or those wild animals around a MAFS dinner table….? 😂😂😂”
She’s got a point!
Katie’s followers were all onboard with the humour, with one joking that there was no animal more fearsome than “the dinnerpartysaurus”.
“You look fabulous! And frankly, I’d say the MAFS dinner table would be far more savage and wilder!!” said another.
Others could not help but notice how “fabulous” Katie looked, especially as the former TV bride has been documenting her weight loss and wellness journey on social media.

Katie was matched with Tim in the experiment, but their marriage was short-lived.
