Not even $50,000 cash could take the pressure of Han and Can as they struggle to finish their Alfresco Terrace and Stratco Shed on The Block.

But with a budget crisis and time running out, a visit from Britt saw one of the toughest contestants crumble.

The surprise $50,000 budget boost was all thanks to CommBank earlier this week.

But as host Scott Cam did his walkarounds, he was alarmed the girls’ budget was still $6,000 in the red.

It was a rude shock for Han and Can.

With three spaces left yet to deliver, the girls would either have to cut costs fast, or deliver an unfinished front and backyard.

To avoid the latter disaster, House 2 pulled back on trades leaving Han to work solo in their shed, despite their ambitious plans.

Britt heard about it through the grapevine, so took a trip next door to check in.

“You’re the hardest worker here,” Britt reassured her.

Those five words hit Han hard.

“I’ve tried everything just to try save money… Everything’s gone to s–t,” Han summed it up.

Britt offered her chippies up to get things moving but and Han was pretty hesitant to accept help.

“It is what it is, we just won’t finish,” said Han shattered.

“No, don’t give up now,” Britt encouraged her. “When have you guys ever given up?”

However, once Britt returned home to tell Taz, he didn’t exactly want to extend an olive branch.

“These are the same people who were absolutely roasting us on Monday,” he said.

But Britt’s motto was ‘kill them with kindness’, so despite their differences with their neighbours this week, they’re going to do what they can to help.
