Of course it’s him

We’ve seen some pretty unique pairings on MAFS Australia, but maybe for the first time in the show’s history, one of the 2025 grooms had a history of swinging with an ex-girlfriend.

According to Collins Dictionary, swingers are “People who are married or in a long-term relationship and who like to have sex with other people’s partners.” As is the case with sexualities and sexual exploits, swinging couples come in all shapes and sizes, and no two experiences are the same.

Season 12 was very sex-focused, from Jamie Marinos wanting to immediately jump on Dave Hand, to Teejay Halkias’ body count coming to light when the show was on. Despite that, one groom’s sexual exploits were seemingly removed from the show, according to his wife.

So it turns out that MAFS Australia’s Paul used to be a swinger

In the very first episode of her new podcast, This is Chaos with celebrity hairstylist Jacob Muller, Carina Mirabile alleged that her on-screen husband, Paul Antoine, used to be a swinger. Apparently, the moment came up during the show, but producers seemingly axed it amid the Paul door-punching incident that overshadowed many of the other storylines.

In the context of Paul punching the door, and how she was confused about his reaction to her fling with rapper Quavo, she exposed: “He openly said that he was into swinging with his ex-partner,” she shared. “I thought the boundaries were okay [to discuss our past sex lives]. Then he was just so upset and dramatic about the whole Quavo situation. I was trying to suppress and calm him down. I kept apologising, he kept saying he was embarrassed that I openly said that.
“I said, ‘But you openly said, on camera, for a national television show, that you had slept with swingers and did swinging with your ex, so I didn’t think [me sharing that story] was a bad thing. Where’s the juxtaposition between this? What is okay and not okay? You’re allowed to do that, and I just have to accept it? But when I say something about my past sex life, you have a massive blow-up?”

It’s not immediately clear who the ex in question was, but a few of Paul’s friends had come forward with their experiences while the show was airing in Australia.

Each to their own.
