Farmer Wants A Wife fans were thrilled to see so many familiar faces return to the reality show in Tuesday night’s episode. After Farmer Corey Manwaring made his decision to pursue a relationship with Keeley Rankin, host Natalie Gruzlewski checked in with a handful of couples from previous seasons to see how their relationships had evolved since filming wrapped.

One couple who returned to the series was Farmer Brad Jones and Clare Hockings, who found love on the show’s thirteenth season. Not only did she move to Cootamundra, NSW, to live with him, but they also bought a house and welcomed their first child together, Roy, in December 2023.

Although the pair appeared in high spirits while filming their cameo on their farm, Clare tells Yahoo Lifestyle that she actually found the experience to be quite difficult.

“It definitely brought it all back, being back in front of the camera. I’ve never really enjoyed it, and I was really reminded why,” she shares.

Clare admits it was “a lot harder” filming her brief cameo compared to her original season because the producers had to work around her son’s schedule.

“They were trying to film cute things with Roy, and he was like, I don’t want to do that,” she recalls. “The other thing that was hard was when we were filming the show, we might have to repeat scenes over and over or repeat us walking up to where the date’s set up four or five times, and Roy didn’t want to do that.

“He didn’t want to walk up the road 10 times; he just wanted to do what he wanted to do. So it was definitely harder than normal.”

Clare and Brad excitedly announced in Tuesday night’s episode that they were growing their family and expecting their second child together.

“We actually do have some pretty big news. We are pregnant again,” Brad shared. “So yeah, we’re gonna have two under two, which will be pretty hectic.

“Two years ago, we didn’t even know each other. Three years later, we’re gonna have two under two.”

The one major relationship milestone Clare and Brad are yet to tick off is to tie the knot, which she hints will happen soon.

“We definitely have a bit of a plan and a bit of a rough idea of what we want to do and how we want to do it,” she tells us. “Hopefully, in the next year or two, we’ll have an update for people.”

Clare adds that she’s not sure if she would allow Channel 7 to film her wedding for a TV special, which many other success stories have done, but it would “definitely” be on the farm.
