We have an update regarding the Montreal Canadiens’ lineup that will face the Carolina Hurricanes. As you know, tonight is the game of the year for the Habs at the Bell Centre.

At a press conference earlier today, head coach Martin St-Louis confirmed two things.

First, there will be a change.

Second, Arber Xhekaj will once again be a healthy scratch and sent to the press box.

Let’s start with the change.

A change on offense for Martin St-Louis’ lineup, as Emil Heineman will replace Oliver Kapanen

Here is the confirmation.

Emil Heineman will indeed replace Oliver Kapanen in the lineup.

“Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky
Laine-Newhook-Demidov
Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher
Heineman-Evans-Armia”

As mentioned earlier today, Martin St-Louis also made a change to Ivan Demidov’s line, reuniting Emil Heineman, Jake Evans, and Joel Armia together.

Here’s Heineman’s reaction to the news:

Emil Heineman is back in the lineup for the Habs tonight:

“There’s a lot of excitement. You wanna play those (games). It’s a lot of excitement that we have a chance to make (the playoffs) by ourselves and really looking forward to playing.”

We’ll be keeping an eye on this for you.

As for Xhekaj, it’s unfortunately not too surprising, but since many of you have been asking.. Yes, we do have confirmation for tonight.

He will once again be in the press box for this game of the year in Montreal!
