It’s only been one month since this year’s season of Farmer Wants A Wife premiered, and already two farmers have found love. Farmer Jarrad left the reality show in week three after choosing to pursue a relationship with Chloe, and Farmer Tom followed suit in Tuesday night’s episode when he declared his love for Georgia.

With only Farmer Corey and Farmer Thomas yet to make a decision, many fans assumed the season would be wrapping up next week. However, Channel 7 has announced that a brand new farmer will start his journey to find love in Monday night’s episode.

Farmer Jack’s impending arrival has left fans baffled, with many taking to social media to criticise this year’s season for being “completely ridiculous” and “all over the place”.

“I am certainly over this year’s season of Farmer Wants A Wife. It is dragging on and not getting anywhere,” one person wrote, while another added, “The season is horrible this year”.

“What’s the point? The show is almost over,” a third questioned, followed by someone else who asked, “Isn’t it almost over? He’s a bit late to the party, no?”.

“I thought it finally finished next week,” a different user remarked, with another commenting, “Bringing a farmer in when [the season’s] nearly finished is stupid, too cruel to the ladies. You have lost this viewer and I think a lot of others”.

Farmer Jack is a 26-year-old dairy farmer from Sheffield, Tasmania, who has earned the nickname ‘Steady Eddy’ from friends because he’s always known what he wants.

He’s interested in cars, animals, woodwork and expanding his farm, and can play guitar, bass, drums and sing. His love language is quality time, and he says he “really enjoys listening to [his] partner and comforting them when they need it”.

“I’m looking for a girl who is down-to-earth, girl-next-door vibes,” he describes. “Someone with a calming nature who enjoys the simple things in life. A girl who is family orientated, with a good sense of humour and is willing to move to the country for me. Someone who wants kids, too!”

Farmer Jack was one of the original eight farmers listed on the 2025 application form alongside another farmer named Jack from Oberon, NSW, who Channel 7 has confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle was cast on the show but was later edited out.

Chelsea, 25, QLD, educator

Chelsea describes herself as a city girl who loves the country, and believes the love and care Jack demonstrates for his animals shows how he would be in a relationship.

“I have grown up watching this show. Year after year, I watch couples fall in love. It’s my turn now!” she says.

Eva, 22, VIC, student

Eva believes that Jack is like the “super down-to-earth” person she has been looking for, and can see herself moving from Melbourne to Tasmania to settle down and start a family.

“I can’t seem to shake the feeling that there is something missing in my life,” she says.

Hayley, 23, QLD, hospitality manager

Hayley thinks she is well suited to Jack because they both love animals, music and karaoke, and they even have a similar background.

“Jack and I are originally from the same area in Tasmania. We even went to the same school!” she says.

Monique, 25, QLD, bricklayer

Monique admires Jack because he seems genuine and has his priorities set, and she thinks “he could deal with [her] personality”.

“I feel like the man I am searching for is not online, and I am just getting older and older,” she says.

Olivia, 27, QLD, veterinarian

Olivia says she would be interested in learning more about dairy farming, and shares the same love language as Jack in quality time.

“I have spent many years getting to know myself, and I am ready to share my life with someone else,” she says.

Rebecca, 26, VIC, customer service officer

Rebecca was drawn towards Jack because they are both looking for the same things in a partner, and she has always considered moving to Tasmania.

“I am all about honesty. I have never been afraid to speak up. I know who I am and what I want,” she says.

Samantha, 26, SA, corporate manager

Samantha believes Jack is very attractive and “very sweet with a soft heart”, and she would love to get to know him more.

“I don’t know how to love a little, I dive in with my whole heart!” she says.

Sarah, 29, QLD, personal assistant

Sarah loves that Jack is a music fan and would do anything for his friends and family, and believes they would be able to “share a good laugh”.

“I have looked at previous farmer applicants but haven’t found anyone I align with. Until now!” she says.

A new trailer for Monday night’s episode teases that Jack “isn’t afraid to change the rules” as host Natalie Gruzlewski is shown having to speak to a producer.

“This has not happened before,” she says. “I will have to double-check that, just give me one minute.”

Meet Farmer Jack and the ladies set to steal his heart on Monday, 26 May, on Channel 7 and 7plus.
