EXCLUSIVE: Scott Cam has been on Aussie TV screens for decades but viewers have always had one question – what’s he really like when the cameras aren’t rolling?

The Block contestants answered that very question in an exclusive video you can watch above.

From being “scared” of the host to not knowing who he is at all, the Blockheads have some very different experiences with the man himself.

Alicia admitted that out of everyone it was Scotty that she was “most scared to meet”.

But she quickly learned she didn’t need to be and beamed that the host is “such a lovely family man.”

“Scotty Cam is exactly on camera what he is off camera,” Sonny confirmed.

“It doesn’t matter if there’s a camera in your face or not, it’s the same conversation. He’s as genuine as they come.”

Like co-star Alicia, Emma was “a little bit scared” of Scotty before meeting him but once they got know him they became “instant mates”.

And they’ve come to appreciate Scotty’s tough love approach and honesty, even if it’s brutal.

“He’s unfiltered in his comments, he’s direct and he’ll tell you what he’s thinking,” Ben told 9Entertainment.

Han and Can didn’t believe they were truly on The Block until they laid eyes on Scotty.

“When we saw him step out we were like, this is real, we’re here,” Can said.

“He’s such a great man and it’s awesome to have his support every week.”

And it’s safe to say Mat has come the furthest with his friendship with Scotty…
