Channel 7 has a brand new reality show hitting our TV screens in 2025, and it’s touted to be a mix between Survivor and Married At First Sight. Yep, Stranded On Honeymoon Island may just be our new reality TV obsession, and already the trailer looks juicy.
The series is produced by Endemol Shine, the same production company responsible for MAFS, MasterChef, Australian Survivor, Love Triangle and many other reality dating shows, and narrated by radio queen Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
So, what is the premise of the show, and when will it be hitting our TV screens? Let’s dive in.

What is Stranded On Honeymoon Island?
Stranded On Honeymoon Island describes itself as “the most radical and extreme dating experience ever seen on television,” and will feature 12 singles who have been unlucky in love.
The show begins with a speed dating event where participants will be paired off and “marry” each other, but instead of being whisked away on a nice honeymoon, they will be dropped on a remote island in the South Pacific with nothing but their wedding attire.
They’ll remain on the island for three weeks as they get to know each other, with Channel Seven describing the concept as removing people from “all modern dating obstacles, with no devices, no distractions, and nowhere to hide”.

Who will be on Stranded On Honeymoon Island and where was it filmed?
While we don’t know the name of our single stars yet, we do know radio star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson will be narrating the show for us.
“Adding Jackie O was a boss move as the popular radio host did not come cheap,” an insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “They had toyed with a few other names, but it was clear they wanted a big star with a recognisable brand to narrate what’s predicted to be the raciest show ever seen on the network.”
The first trailer shows the singles talking about being unlucky in love and calling the new reality experiment “the craziest thing they’ve ever done”, with one bride admitting: “I just wanted it to be Honeymoon Island, and it’s Nightmare Island.”
The trailer also shows the filming location as “somewhere in the South Pacific” but doesn’t specify where.
When does Stranded On Honeymoon Island premiere?
After being filmed in 2023 and announced in 2024, Channel 7 has finally announced that the series will air in June 2025.
An insider previously told Yahoo Lifestyle that Seven had delayed the premiere “due to more money being thrown at it”, and executives have a lot of faith that the series will resonate with fans.
“The brief was to find a concept that will win over similar audiences to MAFS, and while other dating shows have fallen away, this new format is expected to be bigger and better than any season of MAFS screened in Australia,” they shared. “Audiences are ready for a new take on young people finding new love, and this show is like nothing ever seen in Australia.”
