Whether it’s Married At First SightReal Housewivesor Love Is Blind, reality TV reunions are known for being some of the best episodes of the series. Farmer Wants A Wife is no different, as the show’s host Natalie Gruzlewski checks in with the farmers one month after filming wrapped to reflect on the experience and find out which couples are still together.

This year’s season has been filled with drama, including contestant walkouts, shocking twists, and one farmer being completely edited out of the show. The upcoming reunion is set to cover all of the big moments; however, viewers will have to wait slightly longer than expected.

Channel 7 has announced that the highly anticipated episode will air at 9pm on Monday, June 23, as opposed to its normal time of 7:30pm.

The slight schedule change is due to the network launching its new reality TV show, Stranded On Honeymoon Island, at prime time on the same night.

The long-awaited series, which was first announced in October 2023, has been described as “the most radical and extreme dating experience ever seen on television”.

The show begins with a speed dating event where participants are paired off and “marry” each other, but instead of being whisked away on a romantic honeymoon, they are dropped on a remote island in the South Pacific with nothing but their wedding attire. They will then remain on the island for three weeks, during which time they will get to know each other and attempt to build a connection.

This isn’t the first time Channel 7 has launched a new show on the same night as the Farmer Wants A Wife reunion; the network premiered Dream Home in May last year and achieved a national reach of 2.253 million viewers.

Regardless, many fans have taken to social media to complain about the “strange” start time and the fact that the episode won’t end until 10:45pm on a ‘school night’.

“That’s way too late for me, what is wrong with them? What kind of behaviour is that?” one person commented, while another agreed, “Way too late for me! Especially when I need to get up at 5am next morning for work!”.

“Even an 8:30 time slot would have been better than 9pm,” a third remarked, followed by someone else who shared, “In my opinion, I think Honeymoon Island should be at a later time slot”.

While some fans argued the episode would be “worth staying up for”, others said they’ve already decided to watch it the following day on 7plus

“Great way to piss every one off though, nice touch. Top way to end a crappy season,” one person wrote, with a different user adding, “I will watch what I can, then do rest on catch up as well”.
