Dan Reilly is back for The Block 2025 but what exactly is his role this season?
The Block All Star turned series regular has returned as official site Foreman, taking on the key foreman responsibilities.

What is Foreman Dan’s Role on The Block?
He’s the friendly face that’s made a big return on The Block 2025 and for the second year as solo Foreman.
Dan starred as a contestant on the show in 2012 and again in 2013 on The Block: All Stars before becoming a permanent member of the cast as a Foreman.
Dan’s role comes after former Foreman Keith Schleiger took a step back in 2024.
But if there’s one thing you need to know, it’s that Foreman Dan won’t be entirely alone…
Returning Site Supervisor GMac will play a big role this year helping Dan with inspections, approvals and making sure everything is up to code.
What can we expect from Dan on The Block this year?
Foreman Dan has already played the role of both good cop and bad cop in 2025’s Heartland season.
He was the first person Robby and Mat turned to with their game-changing secret weapon: a hidden wine cellar built under their house.
It’s a potentially Block winning gamble and the boys got the green light thanks to Foreman Dan.
During Bathroom Week however, Dan’s stern side had to come out. House 2’s Han was caught waterproofing unsupervised after strict instructions to wait for a licensed tradie to arrive.
“You’ve disobeyed my instruction, so now I’ve lost trust,” Dan said to Han.
“You’ve gone behind my back.”
Han learned her lesson, fixed her mistake and apologised. It wasn’t long before she was back in Dan’s good graces.
Who is Foreman Dan?
Dan Reilly and his partner Dani Wales first appeared in on Season 5 of The Block in 2012 as contestants. The couple returned in 2013 for The Block All Stars.
Their Block career didn’t end there with Dan, a certified builder, working alongside Keith as a Foreman – a gig he started back in 2015 under the title ‘foreboy’.
Years on, and he’s taking on the role as sole Foreman for the second time.
“It’s been fantastic to be involved with the show both as a foreman and as a contestant over the years,” he said at the time. “The show has given me so much.”
Together with his wife Dani, the couple also fronted their much-loved online series Dan vs Dani.
Every week, the duo offered their often clashing opinions before awarding one team as the ‘champion’ of the week, and another as the ‘chump’.
