Kyle Sandilands sparked concern for his health last week when he took some time off air after making a comment about how he thought he may have “had a stroke”.
Now, the KIIS FM star, 54, has revealed that after making headlines and worrying fans, even some celebrity friends reached out to check on him and his health.
Sandilands revealed during the Kyle and Jackie O radio show on Monday that Academy Award winner Russell Crowe, 61, had contacted him to see if he was OK.

“I feel like anyone who listened to that segment knew that you were joking,” Jackie said.
That’s when Sandilands said Crowe had reached out to him.
“Russell Crowe didn’t know. Got a message from him at three o’clock in the morning from God knows where,” Sandilands said.

The shock jock added that Today show host Karl Stefanovic had also sent him a message to see how he was doing.
Sandilands said the news articles and fan concern following the comment made his mum stress.
“By the way, next time I stumble over a word and make a joke about having a stroke, how about not writing it in the newspaper so my mum actually thinks I’ve had a stroke?” he said.

Last week, Sandilands caused concern among fans when he said live on-air, “I think I’ve had a stroke. I feel that I’ve said the wrong words multiple times this morning, and I’m not super tired.”
“No, you haven’t,” his co-host Jackie O replied.
Sandilands was absent from the airwaves on Thursday and Friday.
In a statement to 9honey Celebrity on Friday, a spokesperson reassured fans Sandilands was doing well and was being looked after by health professionals.
“A team of highly qualified medical professionals continue to monitor Kyle’s health, and they’re pleased with where he’s presently at,” a spokesperson from ARN said.
“Kyle, however, is bitterly disappointed about gaining two kilograms since starting his Big Fatso Club weight loss program. He assures fans that while his arteries remain under close surveillance, his Uber Eats account is still in peak condition.”
The host has previously been open and honest about his health issues with listeners.
