Imogen Anthony has opened up about a shocking fight she had at a US festival with ex Kyle Sandilands.

Imogen, 34, and Kyle, 54, were in a long-term relationship for nine years, eventually parting ways in 2019.

Speaking on the A Bit Rogue podcast, Imogen gave a rare insight into her relationship with the Sydney radio king.

She detailed a trip she took with Kyle to the 2017 Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert.

Imogen told host Skye Sydenham that she and Kyle travelled to the US festival with her best friend and her assistant, renting an RV to accommodate the group.

She said that tensions were quickly frayed after arriving at the festival site, with she and Kyle getting into an ‘intense’ argument.

‘We got to Burning Man… my partner and I got into a huge argument,’ Imogen said, ‘[It was] the agitation of the day – everyone had the s***s.’

She said the argument devolved into quite a chaotic scene inside the RV, with her bestie watching it all unfold while hallucinating on drugs.

‘It was pretty intense,’ she said. ‘There were things flying.’

‘My friend, ten minutes beforehand, had taken mushrooms for the first time. My ex and I are having this argument in the RV, she’s freaking out in the corner, and things are flying.’

Imogen continued, saying that Kyle eventually extricated himself from the scene, leaving the festival site in his car.

‘I don’t know where he went, but he took off – having a tantrum as a lot of men do,’ she said.

The drama did not end there, however, with Imogen adding that soon after Kyle’s departure, they received a visit from US law enforcement.

‘All of a sudden, we see these red and blue lights outside. We look out the window and we’re surrounded by three FBI cars,’ she said.

‘We got to Burning Man… my partner and I got into a huge argument,’ Imogen said, ‘[It was] the agitation of the day – everyone had the s***s.’

Imogen continued, saying that Kyle eventually extricated himself from the scene, leaving the festival site in his car. ‘I don’t know where he went but he took off – having a tantrum as a lot of men do,’ she said

‘They knocked on the RV and said they’d had complaints from surrounding camps about the domestic.’

Imogen continued, saying that agents demanded entry into the RV, which concerned the group due to a bag of marijuana left on the table.

‘They came out a minute later and looked at me and said we were okay,’ she said, adding that her assistant entered the RV with the FBI standing in front of the offending article.

Imogen said that Kyle arrived soon after law enforcement left the scene, oblivious to the drama that had just unfolded.

‘We’re sitting in disbelief and my ex comes in and was like: “I’ve calmed down now”,’ she said. ‘I was like: “do you know what we’ve just been through?”‘

Elsewhere in the interview, Imogen gave a rare update on her current relationship with Kyle, six years after their split.

‘I had just turned 20. We split when I was almost 29. We were together for a long time. Also, just disclosure as well, we’re cool,’ she said.

Imogen added that both she and Kyle never expected the relationship to last as long as it did.

‘I don’t think either of us expected it to go the way it did,’ she said. ‘Over nine years, he always made me feel equal.’

The media titan announced his shock split from the Big Brother VIP star on The Kyle and Jackie O Show in November 2019.

She has since moved on with new partner Harley Jones, with the pair tying the knot during a Vegas wedding in 2022.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at Australian Fashion Week in 2024, the social media star ruled out a ‘real-life wedding’ and said the couple won’t be starting a family any time soon.

‘No, I’m unconventional. That’s how I roll,’ she said. ‘I’m not in any rush for anything like that. I’m in no rush to have kids.’

However, she didn’t completely rule out the idea of babies in the future.

‘Maybe one day. It’s not out of the picture, out of the question. I’m just not, I ain’t racing. I’m good,’ she added.

Meanwhile, Kyle has since moved on with his wife Tegan Kynaston, whom he married in 2023.

The couple also share a son, Otto, who they welcomed into the world in August 2022.
