The Block’s Scott Cam is relishing his new role as a grandfather.

Taking to his social media on Tuesday, the 62-year-old TV host posted a picture of himself holding his son Charlie’s three-month-old baby Tiggy in his arms.

Fans were quick to note the wild resemblance between Scott and his granddaughter, who shares the same chin and bright blue eyes as her famous pop.

‘Love Sunday BBQs with the fam,’ The Block star said in the caption of his Instagram post, as followers filled the comments section with compliments.

‘Chip off the old block (see what I did there Scotty lol),’ joked one user, while another follower said simply, ‘Mini Scotty’.

‘She looks so like you (but in a pretty way),’ another follower said of the tiny tot, who sports an impressive head of red hair.

‘Yes, she is a spitting image!’ gushed another follower.

In the Instagram post, Scott confirmed his son Charlie and his partner Amber had welcomed their first child.

One precious photo captured Scott happily posing alongside Charlie, 28, while he tenderly cradled his newborn grandchild.

Another showed a beaming Scott looking every inch the doting grandad as he held the bundle of joy while visiting the maternity ward and a third captured him lovingly kissing the newborn’s forehead.

The Sydney-born presenter revealed in the caption the birth happened in April and he is now going public: ‘As of five weeks ago, I became a grandfather to beautiful Tiggy.

‘I’m so proud of Charlie and Amber. She is absolutely gorgeous.’

Many of Scott’s celebrity friends took to the comment section to offer their words of support.

‘The best grandad,’ gushed The Block veterans Liberty and Eliza.

‘Well done Scotty, what a gift, you’ll be the BEST Grandpa of them all,’ added Catriona Rowntree and Barry Du Bois chipped in with: ‘So happy for you and the family mate. Number One Grandpa.’

It comes as fans are eagerly waiting for the new season of The Block to drop.

Leaked photos of one of the completed homes in the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Daylesford reveal the upcoming 2025 installment has a very similar aesthetic to a previous season of the show.

While Nine is remaining tight-lipped on the official name, whispers around the network suggest the new series could easily be branded as a sequel to the 2022 ‘Tree Change’ season, which was set in Gisborne in the Macedon Ranges – just a short drive from this year’s location.

Daylesford was set to be the site of The Block’s 2024 season, however production was eventually moved to Phillip Island following a planning dispute.

The network was reportedly forced to cancel $500,000 worth of accommodation it had booked for the show’s cast and crew.

‘We’ve had so many successful series in so many different locations, but we don’t go where we are not welcome,’ a production insider told the Herald Sun at the time.

In December, the application was finally approved by the Victorian Planning Minister to build five dwellings on a 2,000sqm block of land owned by Hygge Property.

Daylesford is located 114km from Melbourne and its unique combination of natural beauty, historic charm and vibrant local culture provides a stunning backdrop ideal for the show.
