An interesting trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Chicago Blackhawks, involving defenseman Seth Jones, has just been proposed on BPM Sports.

It was host Georges Laraque who floated the idea, seemingly in response to comments made by Seth Jones last night after his team’s loss.

 

Seth Jones says he’s talking with the Blackhawks about the possibility of a trade.

“I would like to give myself a chance to win in my career. I know that the money is not an easy thing to move, and that’s what we’re figuring out.”

Jones is a right-handed defenseman who has already accumulated 27 points this season (in 41 games) and is looking for a fresh start.

He costs six million, there are five years left on his contract.
