Uh-oh. Two contestants from this year’s Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) have completely ditched the show less than 24 hours on the farm.
Hold ya horses! This article contains Farmer Wants A Wife spoilers. Mosey on with caution.
I honestly sound like a broken record, but in comparison to other reality TV dating shows, FWAW has been considered the most wholesome one out there. It’s also the most successful in regards to birthing happy couples and building families!
However, this year’s rodeo of love has been jam-packed with drama.
On Monday night’s episode of FWAW, two contestants moseyed on out of Farmer Tom‘s farm without even saying goodbye to their potential lover.
To give you a quickie recap on the FWAW drama, after spending less than 24 hours on Tom’s farm, Bridget and Emmie decided to yeet on out of the competition.
However, their sudden departure did not come as a surprise, as the duo seemed to pull back from Tom on the first night. As Tom said, Emmie-Rose didn’t enjoy the sheep shearing, and Bridget took some alone time to read a book while the group cooked together.

On their way out, the duo spoke about how they lost their spark with the Farmer following their solo speed dates in episode one.
“My time is precious,” Bridget shared. “I wanna get back to Sydney and see my family and friends.”
“We gave it all we could,” Emmie added.
“But what’s the point in staying if there isn’t something there that both of us want to pursue?”
When a producer asked why they couldn’t stay and wait for Farmer Tom to explain why they’re leaving, both of them declined to comment, with Bridget zooming into the bus.
“I’m sorry, I’m gonna politely decline,” Bridget shared.

While losing two suitors would be bloody devastating (and to be fair, he was basically ghosted because they didn’t say goodbye), Farmer Tom took it very well, telling producers that he “wishes them all the best”.

The remaining contestants, Georgie, Emma and Eliza, described Bridget and Emmie-Rose’s sudden departure as a “shock”.
“The heart wants what the heart wants,” Emma dished, reflecting on Emmie and Bridget’s shocking move.
While our cast seemed to take the FWAW ghosting with grace, viewers weren’t too pleased with the duo’s exit, with some folks describing the move as “rude” and “selfish”.

What a bloody doozy, right?
Oh well. Fingers crossed, Farmer Tom still finds his wife!
Farmer Wants A Wife returns tomorrow 7.30pm on Channel Seven and 7Plus.
