Jamie Marinos and Dave Hand were basically the ones to beat in the earliest days of MAFS Australia season 12, and yet, their relationship imploded and they’re no longer on speaking terms. Jamie may or may not be dating Eliot Donovan now, but to be honest, the conflicting statements make it difficult to get a handle on what’s actually going on. To make matters even more confusing, Jamie has seemingly teased a possible Dave reunion in the future.

After getting her Instagram back last week, Jamie has been answering questions from MAFS viewers on her story. She’s covered topics such as cosmetic surgery, her friendship with Eliot, and her favourite things, and while you’d assume most of the questions were about Dave, Jamie seems to be sneakily avoiding those.

That being said, Nine has detailed a since-deleted story of Jamie’s that talks about her decision to go “no contact” with Dave and how she is getting over the MAFS marriage.

“I’m that person who wants to be friends with everyone even after the worst situation,” Jamie explained.

“At the same time, what I’ve learned is that not having contact with that person is the best case scenario. You need time to heal, they need time to heal, and if there’s any residual feelings, it makes it so much more complicated. You just can’t move on. You need to focus on yourself, and when that person is in your life, it’s too confusing.”

Though she’s clearly working on herself and trying to move on from the MAFS Australia experiment, Jamie doesn’t seem to have ruled out a possible rekindling with Dave. According to the report, she believes exes can “re-enter each other’s lives” after a period of healing and no contact. It might not be a direct confirmation of her interest, and we haven’t heard from Dave, but it seems there might still be hope for us reality TV addicts.

I told you, it’s really hard to keep up with all the post-show chaos. Jacqui is now engaged to someone else’s on-screen hubby, Paul has reportedly tried to get back with Carina, and that’s to say nothing of the continuing drama between Awhina and Adrian.

On the Jamie and Eliot front, the two grew closer after a trip to Sydney after filming had wrapped. Sources soon claimed they were officially dating, with Carina herself stating they were in a “love bubble.”

Unfortunately, Jamie and Eliot’s version of events is quite different. Their recent statements have now muddied the waters, and I’m starting to lose all interest in their blossoming romance.

“Things need to grow organically and there are certain things to take into account. Jamie isn’t really looking to move to Queensland, she’s got a lot going on in Melbourne and I’m very settled here in Queensland and am not looking to move,” Eliot recently said.

“I have my family nearby, young nieces I want to see grow up. So [Jamie and I] are just being mature adults and taking things as they come.”
