You are probably already aware, but we wanted to make sure to mention it so that no one misses the start of the game. Unlike Team Canada’s regular schedule since the beginning of the 4 Nations Showdown, today’s game will indeed take place in the afternoon.

Jon Cooper’s team will face Finland, live from Boston, starting at 1:00 PM today.

So we’re already pretty close to the official puck drop.

Today’s Game Will Be in the Afternoon for Team Canada

It’s important to spread the word.

So it’s a date this afternoon.

We remind you that Canada absolutely must win today’s game in order to secure a spot in the big final of the 4 Nations Showdown and to earn a rematch against Team USA.

Check out the possible scenarios right here.

Here are the scenarios for Team Canada in today’s 4 Nations game with Finland.

Regulation win: They clinch a spot in the final

Overtime/shootout win: They need USA to claim at least a point from Sweden in tonight’s game to advance

Loss: They are eliminated

We also received confirmation that Jordan Binnington will start in net today against the Finns. He will face Kevin Lankinen, the Vancouver Canucks’ goaltender.

Many analysts and fans are questioning Jon Cooper’s decision to stick with Binnington. Hopefully, it’s the right move, as a regulation loss would eliminate Team Canada from the tournament.

All teams at the Four Nations Showdown will have used two goaltenders, except Canada.

I hope the choice of Jordan Binnington is the right one, but I don’t understand this decision at all. It could be costly.
