After missing out on the season’s one and only immunity pin, MasterChef Australia: Back To Win‘s Audra Morrice clawed her way back into victory with her drool-worthy Indian Spiced Prawn Takoyaki!

If there’s one thing I loathe about the night shift at PEDESTRIAN.TV, it’s the fact that I’m stuck in the office, watching MasterChef Australia with my stomach grumbling to the gods.

And Wednesday night’s episode was no different, with our returning contestants being tasked with creating their best late-night snack! On top of that, the champ of the challenge will nab immunity and will have their dish added to one of Gordon Ramsay‘s restaurants in London.

While I usually opt for whatever fits in the air fryer, our MasterChef Australia: Back To Win contestants came up with a bunch of delish ‘snacks’, like pasta, popcorn ice cream and kebabs jam-packed with flava flava flavouuuuuuur.

Although everyone copped rave reviews from the judging panel, it was season four’s Audra Morrice who clocked immunity and a spot on Ramsay’s menu with her Indian Spiced Prawn Takoyaki.

Reflecting on her first win of the season, Audra expressed that it was the fusion of the two cultures that makes her Indian Spiced Prawn Takoyaki’s not only delicious, but super special.

“It’s a morph of two cultural favourites – takoyaki and vadai. I love that I can bring two significant cultures together to create something equally delicious,” she told PEDESTRIAN.TV.

After clutching victory (and as we mentioned earlier), Audra not only clocked immunity, but also a spot on Gordon’s menu, which is something she describes as both “a treat and absolute honour”.

“I’d be happy to head over to help him in the kitchen. He might need some tips on how to get those perfect spheres!” she shared.

Audra Morrice on Gordon Ramsay’s ‘slide into my DMs’ moment

What also makes this victory super wholesome is that Audra did have a cheeky moment with the culinary icon earlier in the week. To give you a quick recap, Audra admitted that she did an internet search on Gordon before he rocked up to the MasterChef kitchen.

In response, the Hell’s Kitchen boss asked Audra if she “slid into his DMs”.

Looking back at that spicy, spicy moment, Audra said it was “very funny” and that she loved “his witty one-liners”.

“He was absolutely great with us in the team challenge, legitimately wanting everyone to succeed. As for the Keeping Up With Gordon challenge [in episode two], I reckon I lost several kilos in sweat. The man is a tsunami. Maybe we could turn the tables around and do a Laksa Challenge [next time],” Audra dished.

Look, I don’t mean to be biased, but I am definitely rooting for Audra this season, and seeing her safe from this elimination brings me sooooo much joy!
