Long-time friends of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have lifted the lid on the shocking “brutal” extent of the former Hollywood golden couple’s bombshell divorce.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are not speaking after their bombshell split, which marked the end of one of Hollywood’s most loved-up couples.

The Aussie A-lister, 57, and the singer, 58, have not spoken a word since she filed for divorce from him last month, and the pair are communicating only through their lawyers, sources told ShuterScoop on Monday.

“It’s icy. They’re not even texting,” one source close to the pair said.

“Everything – custody, property, money – runs through the lawyers.”

A long-time pal of the ex-golden couple told the publication they were “always touchy-feely in public, but things have been off for a long time”.

Another insider said the pair were “living separate lives” amid growing tensions between Nicole’s filming schedule and Keith’s touring.

The source said “love couldn’t survive” the distance, and their dynamic is “brutal behind closed doors” despite public efforts to protect their brands.

In the wake of their split, Nicole was residing in England at pop star Boy George’s former luxurious Hampstead mansion to film Practical Magic 2.

It is believed Keith never visited her at home while he travelled across the US and Canada with his High and Alive tour, which wraps up on Friday.

Nicole appeared to take a thinly-veiled jab at him on Monday amid reports the country crooner has already moved on with a younger woman in the music industry, rumoured to be his guitarist, Maggie Baugh, 25.

The Babygirl actress wore a diamond-and-gold snake necklace while posing for snaps for skincare brand Clé de Peau Beauté on Instagram, possibly indicating she feels Keith has been slippery.

She seemed to address their split in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar on Thursday, where she touched on moving past “pain” and “devastation”.

“As I get older, I want to be able to share and impart the things I’ve learned. I’ve seen a lot, I’ve experienced a lot, and I’ve survived a lot,” she said.

“I want to pass on some of that knowledge and that wisdom and whatever I’ve learned.”

Nicole said the best part about ageing was accumulating “experiences”.

“Maybe I haven’t been in this place, but I’ve experienced something similar to this, and I do know that I will get through it,” she said.

The Oscar winner earlier this month debuted a glamorous post-split makeover, switching up her strawberry blonde locks to show a fringe, as Keith stepped out on stage without his wedding ring.

Days before she debuted the transformation, Nicole filed for divorce from her husband of 19 years, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Urban allegedly initiated the breakup and confronted Kidman about his “unhappiness” in their marriage, reportedly leaving her feeling “betrayed”.

Nicole reportedly made every effort to save her relationship with the country music star – with whom she shares daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14 – and protect her family.

Divorce filings obtained by TMZ revealed Kidman sought to be the “primary residential parent” of the girls.

A parenting plan will see the teens spend 306 days with Kidman and 59 days with Urban each year.

Kidman and Urban were first introduced at the G’DAY USA gala in January 2005 and tied the knot in Sydney the following year.

The actress was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 until 2001, with whom she shares two children, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30.
