When it comes to Australian stars, several names probably come to mind. First and foremost would probably be Nicole Kidman, who always seems to be busy starring in a new film or TV series. But the Hemsworth brothers, specifically Liam and Chris Hemsworth, would be a close second.

However, after his charismatic and energetic turn on “Dancing With the Stars,” Robert Irwin‘s name is beginning to become etched in people’s memories. But when asked about comparisons to Marvel star Chris Hemsworth, Irwin couldn’t hide his surprise.

Robert Irwin Shuts Down Chippendales Offer & Embraces Hemsworth Flattery

“Access Hollywood” correspondent Sasha Farber chatted with Irwin and Witney Carson about their tango during Episode 3. After commenting on Irwin “blowing everyone away” when he took his shirt off, Farber blew Irwin away with his following statement.

“People are saying that you’re the next Chris Hemsworth,” he began, and was immediately interrupted by Irwin.

“What?! No way. That’s very… that’s very kind,” he said, stumbling over his words.

“Man, I feel like Chris and the Hemsworth guys do such a great job representing Australia,” he continued. “Really, they are absolutely awesome, and so that’s very flattering. I’ll take it, that’s very kind.”

Later in the conversation, the former DWTS dancer asked Irwin if he would consider dancing for Chippendales, which caused the wildlife conservationist to burst out laughing. “I have a line,” he declared. “I have drawn the line: no Chippendales. It’s not happening.”

From Cha‑Cha to Tango: Duo Teases Sneaky Surprises Ahead of Tuesday Reveal

“We are doing a cha-cha to ‘Try Everything’ from ‘Zootopia,” he told Farber. “You know, we have a very special connection to ‘Zootopia 2.’ Which, all will be revealed very shortly, but we’re very excited. Cha-cha is fun, it’s like, sneaky-hard though. It’s a challenge. It’s fun, though, we love it.”

Farber mentioned how similar the cha-cha and the tango are, noting that the judges remarked that Irwin looked a little stiff. To prepare for the Cuban dance, Carson said that they were focusing on hip mobility.

“The hips are feeling it. And as Shakira herself would say, ‘The Hips Don’t Lie,’” Irwin said with a laugh.

The two are planning something special for their tango tonight, but were extremely secretive about the details.

“We are so sneaky with this,” Irwin added. “There are so many little surprises that are happening that we can’t announce yet with this dance. Tuesday, all will be revealed. But it’s going to be fun.”
