Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly split after 19 years of marriage.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban fans have been left shocked following reports that the pair has split after 19 years of marriage. TMZ claims multiple sources have confirmed the news to them, adding that the couple has been living apart “since the beginning of summer”.

Nicole has reportedly been caring for their pair’s two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, at their home in Nashville. A source claimed to Page Six that the Big Little Lies actress “did not want the separation and was trying to save things”.

“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” they added.

The pair was last photographed together on June 20 of this year at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Previously, they made a public appearance together at the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards on May 8.

The pair is known for their PDA on red carpets, but kept this appearance relatively tame, though it appeared they were very much in love, holding hands and keeping each other close.

Their final public appearance in June was followed by a telling sign that things might not have been quite right between the pair.

Keith made headlines in July for abruptly ending an interview when he was asked about Nicole’s steamy love scenes with younger star Zac Efron in their 2024 film A Family Affair.

The Grammy award winner called into Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning and hosts Hayley Peterson and Max Burford warned the star they were about to ask a “deeply personal question”.

Hayley admitted she felt “uncomfortable” asking the question, so Max asked, “What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV?”

Not only did Keith not reply, but a producer confirmed to the hosts that his team “disconnected from Zoom”.

“I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question,” the producer said.

This moment came just days after Nicole shared a photo on Instagram to celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary.

She captioned the snap, “Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban.”

Keith, meanwhile, posted nothing for their anniversary, with his last post featuring his wife being shared in May.

Keith Urban missing from Nicole Kidman’s ‘summer memories’ photos

In August, Nicole shared several “summer memories” on Instagram, including moments spent with her daughters, her sister Antonia and her niece.

Aussie actress Isla Fisher, who split with her husband Sacha Baron Cohen in 2023, commented on the post, “You look so relaxed and happy.”

Keith, meanwhile, was touring Australia at the time, posting from Brisbane, Queensland, around the same time as Nicole’s post.

Keith Urban ‘frustrated’ and ‘worried’ for Nicole Kidman

Earlier this year, it was reported that Keith was “worried” and “frustrated” after Nicole seemingly ignored her statement that she would take a break following the intense workload she had taken on.

Nicole told the Hollywood Reporter in March that she was “off” for the rest of the year following the release of Expats, A Family Affair, The Perfect Couple, Spellbound, Babygirl and Lioness season two.

However, weeks later, she was seen on the set of the Apple TV+ series, Margo’s Got Money Troubles.

An insider told New Idea that “Keith isn’t angry, but he’s worried and understandably very frustrated”.

“He knows how much Nic loves her job, but she keeps moving the goal posts. Instead of putting herself first – something he and the kids need her to do – she’s putting work first every time.”

The insider added that Nicole hadn’t “had a chance to recover from the shock” of losing her mother, Janelle Kidman, at the age of 84 last September.

Nicole famously also just wrapped on Practical Magic 2, which was shot in London, where she was living without Keith.

An insider told Woman’s Day recently, “They do make an effort to speak every day when they’re apart, but it’s shocking how much time they’ve spent apart since Nicole’s mother died last September.”

“It’s like they both went their separate ways,” they added.

“Now she’s getting comfortable in a dream home in London on the other side of the world.”

“No one knows how long they can put up with this situation.”

They explained that the pair has always made an effort not to spend more than two weeks apart, but said, “Clearly, that’s not the case anymore.”

It also comes after reports that Nicole and Keith were keen to move back to Australia after “their worst year yet” in 2024. An insider told Yahoo Lifestyle that Keith wouldn’t be opposed to reprising his coaching role on The Voice Australia as he “does miss coaching and being home”.

The Oscar winner’s family were worried that she was ‘burning out’, with sources claiming at the time that Nicole and Keith were increasingly contemplating moving back to Australia.

“Nicole and Keith have had their worst year ever, they’ve barely spent any time together and she’s been on her own throughout some of her most distressing times,” a source told Woman’s Day magazine.

“The big worry on everyone’s minds is, how much more of this can she take?”
