Abbie Chatfield has come under fire after an online critic branded the famously outspoken supporter of Palestine as ‘pro-Israel’.
Fans have joined in to slam Chatfield, claiming that the influencer is hypocritical since her boyfriend, Adam Hyde of Peking Duk, recently did a deal with Coca-Cola.
According to TikToker ann1ka97_, major shareholders of Coca-Cola, US conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BHK), heavily invest in Israel.
In a clip titled ‘Abbie Chatfield supports Israel’ that has attracted 149 comments since it first went live two days ago, the blogger announced that BHK ‘owns Coca-Cola’.
‘What else do [they] do? They have a really, really, really strong business relationship with Israel,’ she said, adding that BHK puts ‘millions’ into Israel ‘every year’.
The blogger then stepped up the criticism, telling followers to ‘call out the f***ing bull****.’

She continued: ‘They [Hyde and Chatfield] say they are pro-Palestine, but they are happy to take money from the hands of someone who supports Israel, happy to support someone who puts millions into an Israeli company.
‘Happy to take money from a company that has a very strong business relationship with Israel.
‘If you’re going to be pro-Palestine, then be pro-Palestine through and f***ing through.’
The blogger signed off by announcing that she ‘personally hated’ both Israel and Palestine and added: ‘I couldn’t give a f*** about either.
‘But when you want to come online and protest that you are so pro-Palestinian, then be that to the f***ing end.’
The TikTokker’s stance against Hyde and Chatfield comes after Peking Duk took part in Coca-Cola’s music platform, Coke Studio.
Hyde’s group collaborated with singer Kita Alexander and New Zealand band Drax Project for a new tune Around U, which can be seen on the famed brand’s site.
Angry TikTokkers joined in to pile on criticism of Hyde and Chatfield after ann1ka97_ shared the post.

‘Dancing with Israel2,’ sneered one user, while another added:
‘Finally! People are starting to wake up to just how inauthentic she is.
‘I’ve been trying to point this out and get the label misogynist instead of people actually listening to what I’ve been trying to point out!’
A third TikTokker said: ‘Not surprised’.
Still, a number of users on the thread supported Chatfield.
‘I didn’t realise Abby was a part of Peking Duk,’ said one follower, while another user dismissed the post completely.
‘The internet loves moral purity until it’s time to check their own brand partnerships, Spotify playlists, and iPhones. ‘Suddenly, the outrage goes quiet.’
Meanwhile, one person commented that the claim that BHK ‘owns’ Coca-Cola was false.
‘Berkshire Hathaway doesn’t own Coca-Cola,’ the follower stated.
‘That’s not how public corporations work. If you have a superannuation, you probably have shares in Coca-Cola. This is like being mad at someone for having six degrees of separation away from the president (statistically, everyone is).’
Chaired by American billionaire Warren Buffett, BHK made headlines in 2013 when the Wall Street Journal reported that the business giant had acquired the Israeli metalworking company Iscar for AU $3,062,322,000.00 (US $2.05 billion).
According to an online business blog, Investopedia, BHK has owned a ‘significant share’ in Coca-Cola since 1987.
