EXCLUSIVE: In an emotional grand finale, WA parents Britt and Taz have won The Block 2025 taking home over half a million dollars in profits.
Britt and Taz set the bar high after going first on Auction Day. Their house sold for $3,410,000, a whopping $420,000 over their reserve price of $2,990,000. Throw in an extra $100,000 for winning the competition and that’s a total of $520,000.
Despite millionaire and Block royalty Danny Wallis bidding for House 3, there was a surprise reason he didn’t walk away with the winning property, the couple have revealed.
“I don’t think it’s sunk in yet,” said Taz in disbelief in an exclusive interview with the official Block podcast.
Mainly because the couple thought House 5’s Robby and Mat would take out the crown!
“We came out, to be honest, thinking the boys are going to smash us,” Britt told podcast host Shelley Craft.

During a heart-racing auction, Britt and Taz held their breath as a secret phone bidder entered a bidding war with Danny Wallis.
In the end, the phone bidder snapped up the Daylesford property.
In a moment not seen on TV, Danny later told Britt and Taz he would have bid higher, but Danny thought he was bidding against billionaire businessman Adrian Portelli.

It turns out, the mystery phone bidder was not in fact Adrian. But it seems the rivalry between the two heavy hitters continued, despite the billionaire not being in the room.
In the end, Britt and Taz walked away with $420,000 in profits plus $100,000 in prize money for winning the 21st season.
The couple said while taking out the winning title felt amazing, the money won will make a huge difference in their lives.

“We were shocked, we were absolutely shocked,” Taz reacted.
“It was absolutely insane. For us, that’s paid off our mortgage,” Britt told Shelley. “Which is huge, to not have a mortgage at 30 years old, to not have a mortgage now is completely life-changing.”
That also means setting up their kids’ lives too.
“Having more family time…” said Britt.
As Taz interrupted: “I thought you were gonna say have more family!”

Which wasn’t completely off the cards.
“That’s a great idea,” Taz laughed. “I said to Britt when we first met that I’d have five kids.”
“But just for the kids to be comfortable and for us to be comfortable is what this money will do for us.”
As for whether they have “promised” their kids a sibling, catch the full winners interview with Shelley Craft on the official Block podcast.
