EXCLUSIVE: As Han and Can face the pressure of the final week of The Block, they’re the first to admit they’ve also faced a “roller-coaster of emotions”.

“We sometimes disagree,” the duo told Freedom stylist Serena. But what about the moments we don’t see on TV?

During Tuesday night’s episode, Han was “getting worried” they’d deliver yet another unfinished space before they erupted into a disagreement again.

Han crunched the numbers and wanted to splurge on a sauna to go next to their backyard pool cabana this week, but Can’s solely focused on the space that is actually being judged: front yard.

“Can and I take turns to freak out and overwhelm and get stressed,” Han reflected to cameras.

While Can said: “Han is very strong minded and when she’s caught in a negative spiral, it’s hard to pull her out.”

Speaking about their dynamic on The Block, Han said it’s been “lovely” to have Han’s dad Lee here.

“He knows Han very well and how crazy she is,” she joked.

“It’s been an absolute roller-coaster of emotions, Hannah and I have had tears, blood, sweat, crying, laughing but we wouldn’t change it for the world.”

In an unseen TV moment, Han and Can reflected on their time on The Block with Serena.

As they did, the girls revealed the one thing they could agree on – and it helped them score a winning room.

They were talking about the stunning white lounge that stole the show during Living and Dining Room Reveals, that later inspired their winning rumpus room.

Could you survive a reno with your partner?

When it comes to undertaking a mammoth renovation, even the strongest relationships can be tested by tight deadlines, budget blowouts and the endless quest for the perfect shade of white.

But as we’ve learned from this year’s contestants, you can survive the process with your relationship intact – especially with these tips!

Communicate, communicate, communicate

Before you even pick up a hammer, sit down with your partner and talk about your vision for the project. Be honest about your expectations, the budget and your fears.

As the renovations kick off, the honest and open communication doesn’t stop. Remember you’re a team.

Pick your battles just as Han and Can did during Frontyard Week, and know mistakes will happen. It’s how you deal with them that counts.

Define your roles

Are you more hands-on like Han? Or are you a budget boss with an eye for styling like Can?

Play into your strengths but don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Han and Can may disagree sometimes, but they’ve never had to make a decision alone.

And sometimes those roles change! This week the girls became ‘Inside Can’ focusing on fixing the defects and ‘Outside Han’ focusing on the front yard. The lesson here? Priotise your tasks and delegate as needed.

Don’t sweat the small stuff

Remember, it’s just a renovation. There will be setbacks but you also will get through them. Take a step back and try and find the humour in the chaos.

Acknowledge the stress but don’t let it consume you. When it comes to tools down at the end of the day, rest up, reset and know you can always deal with it tomorrow.
