Farmer Wants A Wife is continuing its reign as the most successful reality TV dating show in Australia following one couple’s surprise announcement. Clare Hockings and Brad Jones, who fell in love on the show’s thirteenth season in 2023, revealed on Thursday that they are engaged.

The pair have gone from strength to strength since filming the series, with Clare relocating to his farm in Cootamundra, NSW, and welcoming their first child together shortly after the show finished airing on TV. The couple excitedly announced during their brief appearance on this year’s season that they were expecting their second child together, meaning they will soon have two kids under the age of two.

“We haven’t had a moment to think about a wedding yet, with baby number two due in the next few weeks,” Clare tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “The idea of planning a wedding is quite overwhelming, too, so I think we’ll just enjoy being engaged for a while.”

Will Clare and Brad film their wedding?

While Farmer Wants A Wife has seen plenty of former couples return to the reality show to walk down the aisle, Clare told Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this year that she wasn’t sure she and Brad would do the same.

“We definitely have a bit of a plan and a bit of a rough idea of what we want to do and how we want to do it,” she said. “It would definitely be on the farm, for sure.”

Who else is still together from Farmer Wants A Wife?

Clare and Brad’s season of Farmer Wants A Wife is undoubtedly one of the most successful seasons of the reality show, with their co-stars David McMahon and Emily Gordon and Matt Young and Olivia Benic also still going strong two years later.

David and Emily announced their engagement in October 2023 and tied the knot the following year, with fans being given a glimpse of their wedding day in the final episode of this year’s season.

Meanwhile, Matt and Olivia shocked fans when they revealed in August 2024 that they had secretly welcomed their first child.

Overall, Farmer Wants A Wife has successfully established 11 marriages, 11 long-term relationships, and 27 children since its premiere in 2007, with Clare and Brad’s wedding and second baby on the way.
