Married At First Sight fans are rooting for an unlikely couple – Carina Mirabile and Ryan Donnelly.

The pair, who were Season 12 co-stars, reunited over the long weekend and fans speculated there could be a romance brewing after Ryan posted a picture of them cosied up in a cocktail lounge.

In the comment section fans couldn’t help but notice what a dashing couple they make with one follower saying: “You and Carina actually look cute together.”

Another follower concurred Carina and Ryan made an attractive couple but didn’t necessarily approve of them as a match.

“They actually look nice together but I never like her on TV,” they wrote.

Ryan swooped into Carina’s defence replying: “Agreed 😇 haha, she’s a lovely person though won’t accept a bad word about her.”

A third fan asked the question on everybody’s mind: “Wait what did I miss… are you and Carina a thing?”

Ryan replied confirming that he and Carina are not romantically involved and are just friends.

“Nope we’re not soz, you didn’t miss a thing,” he said.

Carina’s relationship history

Paul Antoine

Carina was married to Paul Antoine on Season 12 of MAFS.

In a twist of fate the pair had already met prior to their TV wedding. They matched on a dating app where they texted for a week before going on a casual hiking date for a few hours. After that Paul ghosted Carina and she never heard from him

Despite the shakey start the pair became one of the strongest couples of the experiment but that bond soon fell apart after a string of problems.

During the fourth Dinner Party, Paul told the group he’d “lost control” and punched a hole in a door after learning Carina had slept with a rapper in her past.

Their relationship was plagued by problems and by Final Vows, Carina could not forgive him for going on a date with another woman during the Final Task.

Mystery American cowboy

In July 2025, Carina was romantically connected to a mystery ‘cowboy’ while she visited friends and family in Oklahoma City, where she used to live years earlier.

She posted plenty of photos and videos with an unnamed man. Her comments were a good indication that the pair could’ve been involved.

In another video he revealed how he and Carina met: “I was doing my usual bar moseying around, very nonchalantly. We were at Cowboys in Oklahoma City… I walked by and suddenly there was a group of what looked like a Bachelorette party, they surrounded me.

Carina continued: “This bar, it’s like a real Southern, country bar. There was a bull in there, they do line-dancing as well… Anyway, he was there with his friend and we started chatting because look at him!”

While fans were delighted to see Carina supposedly move on they’ve not been pictured together since.

Ryan’s relationship history

Jacqui Burfoot

Ryan’s rollercoaster MAFS marriage to Jacqui Burfoot ended in an insult-laden break up at their Final Vow ceremony.

“Ryan, in a world of red flags, you are the red carpet,” Jacqui told Ryan in her farewell speech.

“Be gone with you, you horrible woman,” he responded.

After their explosive on-screen split, Jacqui soon moved on with co-star Clint Rice who proposed to her at a viewing part for the finale of show.

Even still, Ryan and Jacqui’s bickering continued and went from the small screen to the courtroom when Jacqui was granted an interim restraining order in Tasmania, preventing Ryan from talking about her on social media.

Ryan retaliated by applying for an apprehended domestic violence order against Jacqui.

DJ Jennie

In April 2025, it was rumoured that Ryan was dating a DJ name Jennie.

It was understood that they knew each other before he was on MAFS but reportedly struck up a romance following the airing of the show.

The pair never officially confirmed their romance but posted numerous pictures together online.
