Fans of The Block have called on Channel Nine to cancel the series following a disappointing finale.
The Block viewers have furiously hit out at the Channel Nine series after the tense finale resulted in some of the contestants being labelled “greedy” when just one of the five teams netted a big win.
During the high-pressure auction day, in the rural Victorian town of Daylesford, only three of the houses reached their reserve price and were sold.
The auction got off to a great start with Britt and Taz selling their house for a whopping $3.4million, netting the couple $520,000 due to a reserve of $2.99million and a $100,000 bonus prize.

However, the finale went downhill from there with Robby and Mat visibly disappointed after making just $109,999 profit.
Viewers were not impressed with their reaction, as one viewer wrote on X: “Seriously, there are people in Australia who don’t earn $55k a year and they’re angry at making that for 12 weeks work. Get over yourselves. This show is so out of touch.”
‘Approximately 25 per cent of Australian employees earn over $106,700 per year. These greedy f***s just earned that in 10 weeks. Try telling your midwife who’s helping deliver your baby in nine weeks how ripped off you are. I’m sure that will really fly. NOT,’ a second viewer complained.
Mat is expecting his first child later this year.
Next up, Sonny and Alicia sold their home for $3.06million – $120,000 over their reserve of $2.94million, but they were the final couple to make any profit during Sunday’s finale.

Both Emma and Ben, and Han and Can finished the series empty handed after their properties failed to sell.
Fans of the series called on Channel Nine to “cancel” the show, suggesting it was time to rethink the format.
“How about just cancel the next season of the #TheBlock. Worst show in the f***ing world should’ve been axed years ago,” one wrote.
“I thinks it’s time to cancel the Block @Channel9 #TheBlock OVER PRICED,” another vented.
“Once again, #TheBlock producers tank contestants and the show with over inflated reserves. Time to make this show worth watching and competing in! Get back to affordable renos and realistic reserves. Right now contestants and viewers both lose,” someone else said.
Meanwhile, billionaire Adrian Portelli, who bought all five houses at auction last year, wasted no time rubbing salt in the wounds of this year’s The Block contestants.
The former serial bidder, often referred to as ‘Mr Lambo’, posted a selfie with a string of “crickets” emojis before uploading The Block’s logo, scribbled out with Seven’s new rival show My Reno Rules written on top.
