Samantha Armytage has made a surprising confession about her love life amid rumours the TV host is dating Nine’s Golden Bachelor after splitting from her husband Richard Lavender.

Samantha Armytage has made a surprising declaration about her love life following her split from her husband of four years Richard Lavender.

The Golden Bachelor host, 49, spoke to The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show on Wednesday where she was asked if she was open to finding love again.

“Of course I’ll find love again,” Armytage said.

“I mean, I’m keeping my options open.

“I am fine. Don’t worry about me, I’m having fun as always.”

Armytage went on to say she is not actively searching for a new man in her life, and will be picky when her next beau comes along.

“I will find love again for sure. I don’t know when. When the time is right, he will arrive. And I’ll be very good at choosing this time,” she said.

Armytage and Golden Bachelor Bear Myrden, 61, sparked romance rumours after the pair attended the Logies arm in arm in August.

The Golden Bachelor is a new twist on the popular Bachelor dating franchise and sees a group of older Australians competing for the heart of the widower in his 50s from Manly in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

After the season premiered on Monday, fans said Armytage and Bear were better suited to each other than the women vying for his heart.

“I feel like Sam Armytage and Bear would make a good couple!” one person wrote on X.

“Samantha Armytage and Bear have a lot of chemistry, and he probably prefers her the most,” another person said.

“There should be a male host. Sam has too much chemistry with Bear,” a third person said.

However, Bear put the rumours to rest at the Golden Bachelor premiere in Sydney on Monday as he gushed about Armytage’s professionalism.

“Yeah, well, that’s to be expected,” he told Daily Mail of the claims.

“Let’s just say they are rumours.

‘She (Armytage) was sensational… I used her as a mentor the whole way through and she said, ‘follow your heart,’ which I did.”

The former Sunrise host herself affirmed the pair were nothing more than friends when she opened up about her love life in May.

“My love life is pretty quiet, not much to write home about there, but the show’s love life is fantastic, she told The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential.

“I am living vicariously through my show at the moment.”

Armytage announced her split from Lavender, 61, in December, just weeks before their fourth wedding anniversary.

“Yes, Richard and I have separated. All breakups are hard, but it’s somewhat lessened by the fact it’s amicable, and we wish the best for each other,” she said in a statement to the same newspaper.

“I appreciate you respecting our privacy. I won’t be making any further comment.”

The split shocked some industry insiders after Armytage told Woman’s Day she quit her plum role hosting Sunrise to live at Lavender’s 40-hectare estate in NSW’s Southern Highlands.

It is understood Armytage has since decamped back to Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
