The Block saw its most chaotic episode yet on Tuesday night as Sonny and Alicia showed no mercy to nab a win – and one participant quit on the spot.

As Blockheads were expected to submit their building plans for their sheds, Han thought she and Can would come out on top thanks to her bright idea to turn their shed into a work from home space, complete with a kitchenette.

That is, until Foreman Dan reminded her that the space cannot be ‘habitable’.

This revelation, along with Dan’s discovery that their builder had used the incorrect screws and washers, saw Han lose her cool.

‘I quit today,’ she sensationally blurted.

Han, forced to come up with a solo plan while her partner Can completes a five-hour round trip to get tiles, reached a conclusion: to rally the troops and get a time extension.

With Emma and Britt signing on, the trio marched across the site for extended hours, until they were met with a giant ‘nope’ from House 4’s Sonny and Alicia.

‘I haven’t won a room yet. There’s one more room to win, if the four of you don’t finish I might finally win one,’ Sonny piped up.

Han retreated to House 2 with her tail between her legs, dejected by House 4’s ruthless call, especially since Can is off-site fetching other teams’ tiles.

‘To me, it’s rude. Really rude,’ she said to camera.

And as if tensions couldn’t get higher, House’s 2, 4 and 5 were set to have dinner that evening at the Lake House Daylesford as a prize for winning the Rex Theatre challenge.

The only one excited for this undoubtedly awkward supper party? Mat.

Just a few minutes into the sit-down, Han was already letting out all the stress of her bad day, revealing that she was hurt by Sonny and Alicia’s decision to stick to the time frame.

But Sonny isn’t here to make friends…

‘You can take it, leave it, think I’m an arsehole, I don’t [care],’ he said, adding that he was playing the game for himself, Alicia and their family.

The next day, the spotlight was on Mat and Robby’s dire situation, which became even more dire as things started to fall apart on-site.

With no components in any of their five rooms finished, damaged waterproofing in their powder room and a last-minute floor plan change, which required them to hide the waste pipe with cabinets and raise the floor level of the laundry, they had a lot to get done.

‘Oh we’re doomed,’ Robby proclaimed, and he might just be right.
