The Block’s Han and Can are already struggling with money woes.

As the teams headed into Backyard Week on Wednesday, the fiery WA couple discovered that they were behind schedule, with only $50,000 to complete the job.

To make matters worse, the crisis created a personal clash between the couple.

At one point, pressure over plans for their Cabana saw Han retreat into the team caravan, unwilling to discuss details with Foreman Dan.

But Can’s plan to try to talk things over with her partner in their van went south as Han announced that she was bringing in her dad, Lee, to do an expensive render job.

‘If you don’t trust me… and you don’t trust me with my dad, then that’s on you,’ Han told Can angrily.

Later, Can is interviewed on-site and expresses her frustration over the direction the build on House 2 has taken.

‘I’m a bit tired of budget talk, I think everyone on House 2 is.’

She added: ‘It’s really tricky to understand how to do the whole yard for $50,000.’

Can then confessed she ‘regretted’ getting the wine cabinet and altering the floor plan.

On the couch, Han tried to soothe things over after what she called Can’s ‘mini-meltdown’.

‘You don’t understand… you’re not a builder… she’s overreacting,’ Han said.

Earlier this month, host Scott Cam had advised the pair that they were $6,000 over budget.

This has the duo facing the likelihood that they won’t be able to complete both their landscaping and the shed they have dubbed their ‘art studio’.

It comes after Han suffered her own meltdown during Tuesday’s drama-filled episode of The Block.

The controversial Blockhead sat down with the other teams alongside her partner, Can, to catch episode one of the renovation series – and she was not happy.

Han, 29, later retreated into a shell, hiding inside her hoodie after the screening.

Asked by fellow cast members whether she was feeling ‘alright’, Han just shook her head.

‘I think she’s just embarrassed about everything, and just feels like s**t,’ Can said.

Han appeared to cringe as she saw herself throw a tantrum after learning she and Can had to tackle the renovation on House 2.

‘I just looked like a spoiled brat. That’s how it felt watching it, and that’s why I was like, I feel gross about myself, I feel gross about the situation,’ she said.

In a debrief filmed on the House 2 building site, Can said that the couple will try to make the next two weeks ‘fun’.

‘The first couple of weeks for us, we didn’t know what we were in for,’ she said and continued, ‘We were like birds who had just left the nest and were struggling to fly.’

‘We used to have so much fun together, we used to get along together so well, we never argued until we came on The Block.’
