When it comes to property, Scott Cam certainly knows a thing or two.
As host of Channel Nine reality juggernaut The Block for the past 19 seasons, Scott, 62, has guided wannabe renovators to achieve their dreams.
Scott, who has been at Channel Nine for 26 years, has also amassed an impressive property portfolio, proving that, when it comes to houses, he’s not afraid to put his money where his mouth is.
The TV veteran’s main residence is situated in the swanky Sydney suburb of Vaucluse.
Scott bought the impressive home in 2012 for $4.6million, but it is now believed to be worth more than $10million.
The sprawling pad features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a swimming pool.

It also has a gym and a recording studio, where Scott does his voice-over work for Channel Nine remotely.
Scott’s gym features rubber matting, a bench and weights, and a TRX suspension set-up.
Since purchasing the property 13 years ago, it has become the perfect family home for Scott, his wife Ann, and their children Sarah, Charlie and Bill.
There is a large kitchen for preparing meals, a spacious outdoor seating area for family barbecues, and a pool table on the balcony for entertainging.
Aside from his Vaucluse spread, Scott also owns a holiday home in Narawallee, near Mollymook on the New South Wales South Coast.
The property set Scott back $670,000 back in 2012 – a wise investment as the median house price in the region is currently sitting around $1.2million, according to realestate.com.au.
Back in 2020, Scott narrowly avoided losing the home amid devastating bushfires.

Staying behind to defend the property over the New Year’s period, the TV presenter frantically prepped the coastal property for the worst as his three children fled.
Speaking to 9Now at the time, Scott said: ‘We were ready to go and had an exit plan to get to Mollymook beach, but just luckily that didn’t happen.’
Ensuring he was ready to evacuate at any moment, Scott said he had a mattress packed into the tray of his ute in case he needed to sleep in it while defending the property or escaping the area.
Also included in Scott’s impressive real estate portfolio is a Port Melbourne apartment that was renovated on The Block in 2016.
Scott secretly splashed $2.2million on the flat in 2017, and reportedly lives there for four months of the year.
The apartment is located inside the former J. Kitchen & Sons Art Deco soap factory, and was renovated as part of a challenge on The Block.
‘I loved this building so much I wanted to buy one of the apartments,’ Scott told the Herald Sun.
The apartment, which was built as part of a challenge on the show, wasn’t auctioned off during The Block’s finale, but rather was placed on the market after the show had wrapped.

‘When it became available I said “yes” and went to the bank and said can I borrow some money, I want to buy one of these things,’ he explained.
‘To me, it is a no-brainer buying a Block house,’ said Scott.
Scott also previously owned a property in Rosebery in Sydney’s inner south that he purchased in 2001 for $750,000.
He reportedly moved out in 2012 after the purchase of his Vaucluse home, and it is now a rented-out investment property.
Back in 2023, Scott parted ways with a farmhouse he owned in Mudgee, north-west of Newcastle.
According to realestate.com.au, he purchased the 720ha property in 2016 for $1.35million.
The canny reality star doubled his money on the sale, with the property changing hands for $3.1 million.
The classic four-bedroom, two-bathroom home features a wide verandah and a spacious lounge room with a fireplace.

Scott also renovated a lavish country getaway in Gisborne South, 49kms from Melbourne, during The Block’s 2022 Tree Change season

The property was listed for an asking price of between $4.1million and $4.3million in October 2023. It sold for an undisclosed sum in January this year
There’s also an oversized kitchen, built-in pool and an old-style ‘sun room’.

Scott then dropped the price of the beautiful heritage home to between $3.8million and $3.9million.
The property finally sold, in January this year, for an undisclosed sum, according to the Herald Sun.
Scott explained on The Block podcast in 2022 that, while he has spent hundreds of gruelling hours transforming the 1866 weatherboard home from a rundown shack to a lavish country retreat, it wasn’t his to keep.
‘That is not our house. Everybody is saying to my wife, “Are you going to move there? When are you going to sell it?” She and I have to explain all the time that [the house] belongs to the network,’ he said.
‘It is not my house. I just built it as my house.’
He continued: ‘Of course, my family is based in Sydney, and I built that house for some lucky other person to live in.’
