Amy and Laura

Divorcees, Queensland

Amy and Laura are two Queensland mums who are bringing their brash confidence and Sav Blac dry wit to the competition.

The friends have a cutting sense of humour and a passion for food.

Laura’s interests include overthinking and then a long walk for clarity, which we can certainly relate to.

We can’t wait to see how they flip the script with their cooking and sharp wit this season.

Maria and Bailey are “boss friends” from South Australia, who are bringing their leadership skills to the kitchen!

“We’re here to win. We want to be on top,” Maria says in their promo clip, while Bailey adds, “I don’t care if we have to be really cut-throat.”

Greek native Maria owns her own cake and brownie business, while ex-ballet dance Bailey oversees five companies.

Determined to come out on top, Maria dismisses traditional Greek food as “boring” and promises fine dining with an “upper-class edge”.

The friends will serve their food in Bailey’s sprawling three-storey home, complete with its own lift.

09

Mel and Jacinta

Feisty cousins, New South Wales

Feisty cousins, Mel and Jacinta, say if their cooking style was a song it would be Shake It Off by Taylor Swift.

Why? The cousins can brush it all off when the chaos gets too much and keep the energy high.

Their cooking is based on their believe that healthy cooking does not need to be complicated and expensive.

Jacinta’s background in nutritional medicine means she’s adept at serving up bold, health focused gluten free and vegan favourites.

Mel on the other hand, loves nothing more than a comfort classic.
