Daniel Martell, stepfather to Jack and Lily, has been making some crazy claims online. Some of the information he is sharing is pretty alarming, such as saying that he insisted the blanket found has something to do with the case, and it was sent for forensics. Daniel also said that he was supposed to take a second polygraph test, but then police decided it wasn’t necessary.

He claims to have special inside information on the case, too. Daniel claims that he has information on forensics on the blanket, as well as information about the cat or her dogs that he cannot speak about. Daniel also stated that he knows information about press releases before it goes out publicly.

What is interesting is that Daniel Martell claims the commander of operations pulled him aside the day after Mallaya left and told him that they see him as the primary guardian for the children. Everything Daniel tells them is apparently more detailed than the two-minute phone calls they have with Mallaya.

He said that on another day, he was also pulled aside and told that after bringing in specialized technology, they don’t believe the children are in the woods. On another day, Daniel claims the commander of operations came to him again, asking if anything could be improved on. Daniel says that he feels as though he is the main target, and it’s not easy. He says if he is the main target, then the parties involved just need to make one mistake.

The bottom line is: I don’t think Daniel is painting the full picture here. He may be given information, but I don’t think it is as extra as he is making it out to be. If the commander of operations is asking the stepfather of the missing children what can be improved, then how much faith can we really have in them to find Jack and Lily?

Three months have already gone by, and police didn’t bother to give an update on the three-month missing date. They’re holding their cards close to their chests. Maybe they know what happened, and it’s just a matter of time before they make arrests. Or maybe they don’t have a clue and are still at square one.
