Daniel Martell, stepfather to missing siblings Jack and Lily, has been very vocal in this case from the beginning. From the onset, it seemed like Daniel was the only one in the case trying to keep their faces out there and the story in the media. Is he being sincere, or is he doing what he believes an innocent person should be doing?
Mallaya, the children’s mother, on the other hand, has been missing in action and has only done one on-camera interview. It seems that she cares more about the hate people show her online than pleading for her children’s safe return. It’s quite concerning, to say the least. She is supposed to be out there pleading and keeping this case alive.
In new text messages to Sunny from It’s a Crimeing Shame, Daniel was sharing quite a lot, and what he had to say is definitely interesting. Many of you following the case know that a blanket was found. Apparently, the blanket was confirmed to be Lily’s. It’s a pink blanket. Some say it was found in a tree, others say it was found in the trash. Not too sure of the full story, but Daniel shed some light on this blanket.
He told police that this blanket is important to the case. However, Major Crimes kept insisting that it wasn’t. But now, the blanket is being sent to forensics. Daniel then becomes very secretive about this blanket after that, saying that he was given information on the forensics but he cannot share. He also has information on cat dogs, but he was asked not to share.
This makes me awfully curious, because if the dogs didn’t hit on anything, there wouldn’t be anything to keep secret. So, I wonder what he was asked not to share. Did the dogs hit on something? Is that why police are so quiet?
Daniel also admitted that he was supposed to take a second round of polygraph tests, but when he asked about it, they said it was no longer necessary. Daniel asked why, but they declined to answer and skirted around the question.
I wonder if all these things are signs that they know exactly what happened to the children and are so quiet because they’re working on building a solid case against those that are responsible for Jack and Lily’s disappearance.
