Rihanna Confirms Ninth  Album and Hints at a Bold New Sound

After an eight-year hiatus from music, Rihanna has finally confirmed that her highly anticipated ninth  album is in the works.

The global superstar, who has spent the last decade building a beauty and fashion empire while becoming a mother of two,

revealed that fans can expect a project unlike anything she has released before.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, Rihanna shared her artistic evolution, stating, “I went through phases of what I wanted to do.

This kind of album, not that album. I know it’s not going to be anything that anybody expects. And it’s not going to be commercial or radio, [or] digestible.”

The singer, who turned 37 on February 20, emphasized that this is the “right” time for her music to be released, adding, “This body needs to come out, and I’m ready to go there. This is becoming my new freedom because when I’m in the studio, I know that my time away from my kids is to blossom something that hasn’t been watered in eight years.”
