Belinda is the only grandparent of missing siblings Jack and Lily to speak out. She seems genuinely concerned about the children. Belinda, as we know, is the biological father Cody’s mother. She has shown texts with Malaya the day the children vanished, and she was out there helping in the search too.
What Belinda revealed about Janie—Daniel’s mother—made my jaw drop. Janie lived on the property in a little trailer. Even though she was home on the day the children vanished, she never spoke out about what she saw or heard that morning. What Belinda shared made me wonder what really happened that morning—and who is trying to hide what.
Belinda said that on May 3rd, she was at the house, as she said she would be, to help search for the children. While at the house, Belinda saw a female police officer talking to Janie. She could hear what the police officer was saying—until she went a bit closer.
Janie was very upset and crying. The policewoman was comforting her, saying:
“Don’t worry. They’re not blaming you. They just want to look in your trailer. They just need to make sure there’s nothing in the trailer.”
Janie was insisting that there was nothing in the trailer and that she didn’t want them around her dog. The police officer then said that Janie was impeding an investigation, and she would have to get a search warrant to go in and search.
Makes me think—what was in that trailer that she didn’t want the police to see?
Take a listen:
“The policewoman was standing there, and the policewoman was talking to them. We couldn’t make out what she was saying till we got up closer. And Janie was really crying a lot.
This woman was saying to her, ‘It’s okay, Mom. They’re not blaming you. They just want to look in your trailer. They’re not blaming you. They just need to make sure that there’s nothing in the trailer.’
And she went on to say that there was nothing in the trailer. She didn’t want them around her dog. And the policewoman told her that she was impeding an investigation and she would have to get a search warrant.
And then I thought, well, we’ll just continue on into the trailer. That was the only thing I found just a little strange, that I was wondering what that was all about.”
When I got inside the trailer, and after I had hugged Malaya—I mean, I… I… I took to crying.
Now, I didn’t notice, because I wasn’t watching, but my sister stated that she noticed Malaya wasn’t crying at all. She didn’t have any tears.
In the tense days following the disappearance of siblings Jack and Lily, family members have remained largely silent, offering few public insights into what may have unfolded. Amid the swirling speculation and heartbreak, only one grandparent has chosen to speak out: Belinda, the paternal grandmother of the missing children. Her voice has become a steady if quietly urgent call for truth, laced with worry, confusion, and subtle suggestions that there may be more to this case than meets the eye.
Belinda is the mother of Cody, the biological father of Jack and Lily. From the beginning, she has shown a willingness to participate in the search, to communicate with the public, and to share what she knows. She has even provided text messages she exchanged with Malaya—the children’s mother—on the very day Jack and Lily vanished. Her efforts to raise awareness and seek justice for her grandchildren have made her a focal point of concern and credibility.
But what has truly drawn attention recently is what Belinda has revealed about Janie, the mother of Daniel, who is Malaya’s current partner. Janie, who lived on the same property where the children were last seen, has remained publicly silent about that morning—despite being home when Jack and Lily disappeared. Belinda’s account of what she witnessed on May 3rd raises questions about what Janie may know, or what she may be hiding.
According to Belinda, she arrived at the property that day to help in the search effort. While there, she observed a conversation between a female police officer and Janie. At first, the voices were muffled. But as Belinda moved closer, the conversation became clearer, and what she heard was both shocking and deeply unsettling.
Belinda recalled that Janie was crying—a lot. The officer, speaking in a soft, reassuring tone, tried to calm her. “Don’t worry. They’re not blaming you,” the officer said. “They just want to look in your trailer. They just need to make sure there’s nothing in the trailer.” The implication was clear: the police had reason to believe something potentially relevant to the case might be inside Janie’s home.
But Janie was adamant. She insisted that there was nothing in the trailer and became visibly distressed when it was suggested that the officers enter. One of her chief concerns, according to Belinda, was the presence of her dog—she did not want the authorities around her pet. The policewoman then shifted in tone, warning Janie that refusing access could be seen as impeding an investigation, and that a warrant would be required to proceed.
This brief exchange—witnessed by Belinda—casts a long shadow. Why would Janie be so resistant to a search, particularly during such a critical time when every possible lead should be explored? Was it simply fear or anxiety, or was there something more inside that trailer—something she desperately did not want the police to find?
Belinda’s reaction in the moment was telling. As she put it, the encounter struck her as strange—strange enough to stick in her memory, strange enough to share with others weeks later. “That was the only thing I found just a little strange,” she said. “I was wondering what that was all about.”
Later that same day, Belinda entered the trailer herself. Inside, she saw Malaya and hugged her. Overwhelmed, Belinda broke down in tears. But something else caught her attention—not directly, but through the observation of her sister. While Belinda cried, Malaya didn’t. “She didn’t have any tears,” Belinda’s sister remarked.
It was a small moment, but one that lingered with Belinda. The absence of visible emotion from a mother whose children were missing seemed, at the very least, out of place. Could it mean something more? Was it a sign of guilt, of shock, or something else entirely? It’s impossible to say definitively, but in a case defined by uncertainty, even subtle details can take on a weight they might not otherwise carry.
To date, no charges have been filed against anyone in connection with the disappearance of Jack and Lily. The investigation remains open, and police have not publicly named any suspects. But Belinda’s account introduces a level of complexity that cannot be ignored. Her statements suggest not only potential inconsistencies in family behavior but also a reluctance from some individuals to cooperate fully with law enforcement.
What’s particularly striking is that Janie was reportedly home the entire morning the children went missing. Despite this, she has not made any public statement about what she may have seen or heard that day. Her silence, coupled with her resistance to the trailer search, raises obvious questions. Did she witness something she has chosen not to disclose? Is she protecting someone—or something? Or is this simply a case of an overwhelmed grandmother trying to shield herself from further trauma?
The case of Jack and Lily has gripped the local community, and stories like Belinda’s only deepen the public’s desire for answers. At its heart, this is a story about two young children who vanished without a trace, and the hope that they will be found safe. But as days turn into weeks, and weeks into months, the emotional landscape shifts. It is no longer just about finding Jack and Lily. It is also about uncovering what really happened on that morning, and who may be trying to conceal it.
Belinda’s testimony—offered not from a place of blame but from genuine concern—may be the key that pushes the investigation in new directions. Her willingness to speak out, to confront painful truths, and to question even those close to the family, underscores her commitment to getting justice for her grandchildren. Whether others will come forward with what they know remains to be seen.
Until then, the mystery of Jack and Lily’s disappearance continues to haunt all who have followed the case. And the unanswered questions—about Janie’s trailer, about Malaya’s tears, about the unspoken things between family members—continue to grow louder with each passing day.
