Three Emmys, breaking stories from 1600 Pennsylvania and maybe a quiet D.C. romance?
She’s sharp, fast on her feet, and not afraid to hold power accountable. But Jacqui Heinrich is also quietly becoming one of the most buzzed-about figures inside (and outside) the beltway.

Currently serving as Senior White House Correspondent for Fox News, Heinrich isn’t just another face in the press briefing room. She’s a three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, a podcast co-host, and a rising star who’s already become a fixture in major political moments — from campaign trails to global conflicts.
From Local Anchor to the White House Beat
Before she was reporting live from the West Wing, Heinrich was climbing the ranks the old-school way. She studied international affairs at George Washington University, interned for MSNBC, NBC Washington, and the U.S. Congress, and worked as a one-woman crew for stations in Colorado Springs and Las Vegas.
Her big break came at Boston 25 News, where she covered major stories, including the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting. She was named General Assignment Reporter of the Year by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Boston/New England).
She joined Fox News in 2018 as a general assignment reporter in New York and quickly rose through the ranks. By 2020, she was covering the presidential election, reporting from both the Republican and Democratic conventions. A year later, she was promoted to Congressional Correspondent. And in 2022, she became Senior White House Correspondent, all before age 35.
She’s since covered the Israel-Hamas war, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and Inauguration Day 2025, providing live commentary as President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance were sworn in.
When Trump Surprised Everyone
In a surprising moment in March 2025, President Trump took aim at Heinrich in a Truth Social post. He criticized her reporting and suggested she’d be “better suited for CNN.”
The remarks came after Heinrich, while filling in on Fox News Sunday, asked pointed but respectful questions about Tesla’s White House display and potential conflicts of interest surrounding tariffs and American 401(k) impacts.
Trump wrote, “She should be working for CNN, not Fox.” He also noted her connection to the White House Correspondents’ Association, where Heinrich serves on the board.
The post surprised many, even inside Trump’s media orbit. Fox News’ Brit Hume came to her defense, calling her “fair” and “straight.” And others pointed out that Heinrich has consistently reported with professionalism from both Republican and Democratic administrations.
Despite the commentary, Heinrich has continued to appear at White House briefings and cover the administration — proving she can handle the spotlight, even when it’s turned on her.
You Can Hear Her, Too
In addition to her daily reporting, Heinrich is also a co-host on FOX News Audio’s The FOX News Rundown, adding depth and analysis to her fast-paced on-camera presence.
She was also elected by her peers to the White House Correspondents Association’s board. This is a rare honor that reflects her growing influence among Washington journalists.
Is Jacqui Heinrich Dating Someone?
As of June 2025, Jacqui Heinrich is reportedly in a relationship with Pennsylvania Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick.
The two have been seen together at several high-profile events since late 2022, including the 2024 Kennedy Center Honors and the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, fueling speculation about a behind-the-scenes romance.
While neither has publicly confirmed the relationship, their frequent appearances together have sparked plenty of buzz in D.C. social circles.
Before that, Heinrich was in a long-term relationship with musician Franklin Sahlhoff, which began around 2015. Their last known public appearance together was in 2021. And though no formal breakup was announced, the silence since has led many to believe the relationship has quietly ended.
There’s currently no public information indicating that Heinrich is married or engaged.
Whether she’s chasing down leads in the West Wing, standing her ground in the spotlight, or showing up glam at black-tie events, Jacqui Heinrich is one to watch. She’s sharp, stylish, and possibly spoken for.
