Viewers of Celebrity Traitors were left distracted just minutes into the latest episode as Jonathan Ross outshone Claudia Winkleman with his flamboyant outfits.

Claudia, known for her iconic knitwear, returned to the Scottish highlands last week, alongside 19 celebrities aiming to deceive their way to a £100,000 prize.

The popular murder mystery gameshow, which first captured the nation’s heart when it aired in 2022, has made a triumphant return.

This series promises to surpass expectations with an array of events from Alan Carr’s unveiling, to fellow Traitors Cat Burns and Jonathan Ross in the tower, Charlotte Church digging her own grave, and Clare Balding’s unfortunate mistake in the initial challenge.

The star-studded cast this year includes Celia Imrie, David Olusoga, Joe Marler, Joe Wilkinson, Kate Garraway, Lucy Beaumont, Mark Bonnar, Nick Mohammed, Niko Omilana, Ruth Codd, Stephen Fry, Tameka Empson and Tom Daley, reports the Daily Record.

Paloma Faith was the first celebrity to be “murdered”, as Alan nearly crumbled while committing the ultimate betrayal in broad daylight. Three more stars exited in Wednesday’s episode, with both Niko and Tameka being banished, while Tom was “gutted” to be murdered.

At the beginning of Thursday’s (October 16) show, it was announced that another contestant would be “killed off”. Moments later, it was revealed to be Ruth, as the Traitors played a double bluff hoping to eliminate Jonathan’s biggest threat from the game.

However, it’s Jonathan’s leopard print attire that has caught the attention of viewers, rather than the show’s tactics and deception.

One viewer commented: “I am never prepared for Jonathan’s outfit each day #TheTraitors #CelebrityTraitors.”

Jonathan was forced to clarify his comments after saying he “didn’t enjoy” The Celebrity Traitors

“I can’t take Jonathan seriously in his Claudia outfit,” another added.

Jonathan’s sartorial choices have been stealing the limelight following his need to clarify comments he made about his time on The Celebrity Traitors.

Earlier this week, speaking on his podcast, he revealed: “I know because I’ve had two celebrity friends of mine call me and say, ‘I’ve been approached – is it good to do, is it bad to do?’ So I’m giving them the benefit of my experience, which was I didn’t enjoy it.”

He later clarified on X that he is “not discouraging” anyone from participating in a future series.

He continued: “I am pleased I did it – an extraordinary experience- but I did not enjoy the duplicity as the game progressed.

“It’s a tougher psychological challenge than I expected, is all. But I would never try to talk anyone out of it – just trying to give them a sense of what to expect.”
