Christina Fulton has taken legal action against her former partner, Nicolas Cage, and their son, Weston Cage, following an alleged violent altercation involving Weston. 

The actress expressed her heartbreak and frustration as she arrived in a Los Angeles courtroom, stating that she felt abandoned in her efforts to address the situation.

Fulton, who has been vocal about the ordeal, claimed she was left with no choice but to file a lawsuit

after being allegedly assaulted by her son during what she described as a “manic rage.”

She also criticized law enforcement, alleging that the Los Angeles Police Department failed to assist her when she was in distress, even leaving her injured at the scene.

Speaking to reporters, the actress emphasized that her actions stem from a place of love, highlighting the larger issue of mental health crises that many families face.

She called for support for parents dealing with similar situations and reaffirmed her commitment to standing by her son, despite the ongoing legal battle.

Fulton revealed that she has had no communication with Weston since the incident, as they are now entangled in court proceedings.

She also stated that her son has yet to receive proper treatment for his mental health struggles, an issue she has been advocating for over the years.

The alleged assault occurred in April 2024, when Weston reportedly visited his mother during an emotional episode.

What began as a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation, leaving Fulton with significant injuries, including facial bruises and a black eye. Emergency responders were called to the scene, but she was not taken to a hospital for treatment.

By July 2024, Weston was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the incident. He was later released on a $150,000 bond.

Reports indicate that he was also accused of assaulting a second individual, though their identity has not been disclosed.

Following her son’s arrest, Fulton took further legal action by filing a lawsuit against both Weston and Nicolas Cage. In her complaint, she accused the Oscar-winning actor of negligence, arguing that he failed to intervene and prevent their son from engaging in violent behavior.

She alleged that Cage enabled Weston’s reckless lifestyle by not providing him with adequate mental health support and claimed that he even engaged in alcohol consumption with him, despite Weston’s history of substance abuse.

Fulton stated that Cage was well aware of their son’s history of mental instability and violent tendencies but did not take appropriate measures to address these concerns. She argued that his inaction ultimately contributed to the events that led to her alleged assault.

In response to the lawsuit, Cage’s legal team dismissed the claims as baseless and unfounded. His lawyer asserted that Weston is an adult who is responsible for his own actions and that Cage cannot be held accountable for his behavior.

Meanwhile, Weston’s attorney described the lawsuit as an attempt to gain attention and financial compensation, labeling it a “money grab.”

Weston, who pleaded not guilty to the assault charges, has maintained that his mother is the one who requires mental health assistance. Despite the legal battle, Fulton remains adamant that her actions are not about seeking financial compensation but about ensuring that her son receives the help he needs.

She has also outlined the severe impact the incident has had on her life, stating that she has undergone extensive medical treatment for multiple injuries, including a brain concussion, contusions, dental trauma, and a disfiguring eye injury.

In addition to the physical toll, she claims to be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of the alleged attack.

As the legal proceedings continue, the case has sparked widespread discussion about familial conflicts, mental health crises, and the responsibilities of parents in addressing the struggles of their adult children.

While Fulton seeks justice and accountability, the case remains a deeply personal and painful chapter for the family involved.
