Searcher Says There is UNFINISHED Business in The Search for Jack & Lilly Sullivan
There is unfinished business in the search for missing children Jack and Lily Sullivan. A woman named Amy Hansen, from Colchester Ground Search and Rescue, has described the search for the two missing siblings as unfinished business.
“Nothing has led us to anything other than that they are in the woods somewhere,” she said. “So we wanted to come back, cover more areas we didn’t search beforehand, and continue searching.” She also added that the decision to return was made in consultation with the RCMP. Hansen stated that the decision to continue or scale back is fluid, meaning it can change daily.
In my opinion, I don’t believe that means the search is off. It just means the search has been scaled down — perhaps not as many people are involved in looking for the missing siblings. But at least there is still some hope left, as there are people still actively searching for them. It appears all the searchers are trying to pull together.
Hansen also said, “You can’t say enough good things about the searchers. All the members who are here — everyone is getting along fabulously, and they are doing everything that is asked of them.”
A woman named Sher, president of the Nova Scotia Ground Search and Rescue Association, said that instant cooperation and camaraderie are key:
“We have 23 teams across the province. But when there is a search, whatever teams are involved, they come together as one team. Every team is trained to the same level, so when we come together, members can integrate more quickly.”
She also said this month has been very emotional for everyone. Sher added that it wasn’t just this particular search — there was one in Dort Cove, another in Eden Lake, and one in Yarmouth during the first weekend of Jack and Lily’s disappearance.
“It’s been a very emotional time, along with the hard work and all the organization it takes,” Sher said. “It’s an emotional time for everybody. We know it is for the community and everyone. The whole province is waiting. That is almost as hard as the physical work.”
She continued, “I wouldn’t say we anticipate more searches, but we do know more people are getting out to hike and enjoy outdoor recreational activities. With the return of nice weather, people want to get out and enjoy it — and sometimes they get themselves into situations they can’t control.”
Sher noted that it’s common for people to reach out about getting involved:
“My team is in Lunenburg, and we’ve seen that here. I’m sure other teams in other counties have seen the same. That’s going to happen all over the province. People see the need to volunteer — and that’s what we are. It’s all volunteer. Without volunteers, these searches would not be possible.”
She also encouraged people who want to help but aren’t physically able to join the search not to be discouraged.
“Each team has other positions and jobs that need to be done. There are always things to do and ways to contribute.”
Sher expressed gratitude for the ways in which communities aid search efforts.
“A lot of these communities will do whatever they can to assist in the effort to locate the lost person or persons.”
The warden of Pictou County, Robert Parker, also acknowledged the support received from the community and thanked the searchers:
“The Municipality of the County of Pictou wishes to express its sincere gratitude to all those who took part in the search for Lily and Jack Sullivan in the woods around their home in Landown Station. We are grateful for the time given by the ground search and rescue teams across Nova Scotia and beyond, to the RCMP, to volunteer firefighters, and to all those who provided food, rest, and more to those looking so hard for the little ones.”
As heartbreaking as it is that Lily and Jack have still not been found safe, the search will continue — maybe not on a grand scale, but possibly now by the general public. A hiker or someone enjoying the nice weather might stumble across them. And if they do, I fear they will be finding the children’s bodies. Because if they really did wander off into the woods, they would have perished by now. I can’t see them still being alive — unless they were abducted. But I just don’t buy that, and I don’t buy that they wandered off either.
Of course, I could be wrong, and I hope I’m wrong — because the thought that they were hurt by their mother or her ex-partner Daniel is a very disturbing one. I truly hope these children are alive. Please keep them in your thoughts and keep praying for Lily and Jack.
So, what do you think happened to the missing siblings? Please share your thoughts with me. And if you’ve enjoyed my video today, please hit the like button — it really helps me and my channel.
I also want to say a huge thank you to all of my new subscribers, especially my new Canadian viewers. I really appreciate your support, and I love hearing what you think really happened to Jack and Lily.
I’ll of course keep these two missing children in my thoughts. I hope to make more videos in the future analyzing their mother’s interview with the media, as well as the numerous interviews her ex-partner Daniel has given. To me, there are so many red flags in those interviews, and I really want to take the time to analyze them further.
Anyway, I hope you’re all well, looking after each other, and staying safe.
