It’s a very simple one. It’s relating to the missing siblings — 6-year-old Lily and 4-year-old Jack Sullivan — from Lanstown Station in Nova Scotia.

If you’ve been following this case, you’ll know that the RCMP have given a recent update just on how many people they’ve interviewed, and so on and so forth. But very little has come out from the authorities about the status of the investigation, other than “everything is still on the table.” So, the next best thing to get information about what might have happened to Lily and Jack is from family members. And we’ve got a bunch of different family members who have commented.

Now, we’ve had the mother, Malaya Brooks Murray — her one and only interview was on the 3rd of May, before she up and left to go live with her mother. We’ve had Belinda, Lily and Jack’s paternal grandmother. We’ve had their step-grandmother very recently — Janie — who is the mother of Daniel Martell, the children’s stepfather. We’ve also had extended family members giving us a load of baloney — Derwood.

But in this video, I’m going to talk about black eyes. Let’s go.

In a recent livestream on the channel It’s a Crimeing Shame, Belinda — Lily and Jack’s grandma — gave us a piece of heartbreaking information. The CPS were involved in the children’s lives. We know they were — that has already come out. But Belinda says it’s because the school contacted CPS. One of the things they were concerned about were marks on Jack’s face — and a black eye.

Now Daniel, who is carefully monitoring social media, has given an explanation as to how Jack got that black eye that the school was so concerned about. But he also admitted something else — something even more heartbreaking.

This is from a couple of days ago, and someone took a screenshot from the chat of one of It’s a Crime and Shame’s livestreams where Daniel says Lily gave Jack the black eye in that photo.

So Lily what? Punched him? Hit him with a toy? What did she do? I don’t know. But that’s Daniel’s explanation. He said the very same thing in a Facebook post.

This looks like Facebook Messenger:
“Yes, the black eye in the photo that’s going viral was caused by Lily.”

This is the heartbreaking part though — again, from Facebook:
“Believe it or not, Lily had a black eye from Wednesday — two days before the disappearance.”

So Lily also had a black eye, just two days before Lily and Jack disappeared.

A Tonka truck swung up and hit her in the face at Patty’s house. She pushed down on it when she was going around the floor. Alright, so she’s bending down or crawling along with a Tonka truck, she pressed down too hard on the back, it probably flipped up and hit her in the face — and gave her the black eye.

Look, kids get bruises. Kids get injured. They’re playing, they’re roughhousing. It’s an interesting coincidence though, isn’t it? Getting a black eye just two days before they disappeared.

So, they were at Patty’s house on the Wednesday. That Wednesday would’ve been the day they were off school. Everyone was off school. The last time Lily and Jack were at school was Tuesday. And then Thursday, we’ve got the last proof of life: the whole family — Malia, Daniel, Lily, Jack, and baby Meadow — were caught on surveillance cameras in New Glasgow, a nearby town. That was Thursday afternoon. That’s the last proof of life.

I doubt the security footage would be clear enough to actually see any damage to Lily’s face. A toy truck hits you in the face — is it just a black eye you get? Or is it more bruising? I don’t know. I’ve never been hit in the face by a Tonka truck.

So Grandma Patty — that’s Malaya’s grandma. Before the couple lived at Daniel’s place, they were living with Patty, actually. And everything was going well then. And it was Patty who wanted her cousin — the very vocal Derwood Darren — to go and rescue Malaya. Patty was concerned that there was some kind of… I don’t know, conflict? Or that Malaya was being controlled by Daniel — and possibly Journey.

Look, none of us were there. We don’t know. We don’t know what went on behind closed doors. But Derwood said he wasn’t going to interfere in a domestic situation. But if Malia called him, then he’d go and get her. But if she wanted to leave, she could have up and left.

I understand that — if somebody’s controlled, if they’re depressed, they may not rescue themselves. I talked about that in a recent video.

But what was going on behind closed doors here?

Daniel’s happy to admit that the kids did have black eyes. No one would have ever known that Lily had a black eye two days before she disappeared — if Daniel hadn’t mentioned it. Because none of Malaya’s side of the family are talking — apart from Derwood. And he’s on Daniel’s side. He’s deflecting everything away from Daniel — and he’s mad now because people don’t believe him.

But it’s a ridiculous story that he told. If he’d told a more convincing story, then — I don’t know — it may have been more successful.

But what do you think?

Like, he’s clearly not concerned that these kids are getting black eyes. He’s happy to tell the world that Lily had a black eye two days before she disappeared.

Okay, I don’t know what to think now — but I’ve had a bad feeling about this case from the beginning. I’ve said that so many times now. And I still have a bad feeling that something dreadful happened. Maybe not intentionally — but something dreadful happened to Lily and Jack.
