So, if you guys are not familiar — we all know, because we’re all living here — we’re living in a very hyper-political environment. And this environment is causing people, probably, to do things that they don’t normally do, because of anger, hate, you know, a whole host of other things. We don’t know what his mental health status is or anything like that.

But, you know, all things aside — he unalived two individuals. One was a House of Representatives member, Melissa Hortman, and her colleague across the aisle, Senator John Hoffman. Their families were attacked.

Now, John Hoffman’s family is much better off today. It sounds like Yvette is awake, alert, and speaking to people. She’s actually sent out some texts. We learned a little more about the details: John Hoffman received nine… you know, he was pew-pewed nine times. Yvette, his wife, eight times. So if that tells you the gravity of the situation — it was pretty horrific. It was pretty intense in Minnesota.

However, Minnesota and the federal government all came together. They got this manhunt wrapped up very, very quickly.

But we’re dealing with a man that is not a hardened criminal. I had an opportunity to review this man’s history. He has a lot of ties to a lot of stuff overseas, okay? But whenever you’re hearing him talk — he had given an interview about where he was and stuff like that — I actually played it yesterday on my YouTube channel. And I’m listening to this man, you know? This is just not a hardened criminal. It’s very easy to understand why we were able to close this case so very quickly.

It sounds like this man thought he was a planner but didn’t realize all of the nuances that go into taking on something like this — and why they’re highly unsuccessful.

My heart, and thoughts and prayers, go out to Minnesotans. I can’t imagine how crazy this is for you guys. I can’t imagine having SWAT teams and it looking like a third-world country out your front door while they underwent a manhunt. And they said this manhunt is the largest in Minnesota history. So, this is a state-history manhunt. Nothing was off the table. All resources were used.

So this is good news today. This is one for the good guys. This is what our law enforcement does best. This is how we like seeing our law enforcement — professional, serving, and protecting. And I have to say that this hit all the boxes in the right area.

Just a really horrible tragedy. We need to tone down the rhetoric — the hateful stuff. At the end of the day, quite frankly, I love my neighbors. There are very limited times I ever ask anybody who they voted for. Like, it’s serious, but it’s not that serious. And I just really hope that more people start speaking out against the violence.

This took a beautiful woman — Melissa Hortman. Again, not somebody that I, you know, professionally agree with eye-to-eye. But as a human, she seemed like a wonderful lady. Seeing her very emotional about a very hard vote — that’s what we want from our politicians, okay? We want them, when they have to make tough decisions, to feel it pulling at their heartstrings — to have it keeping them up at night. We want them fighting for us. And sometimes those fights are spot-on. Sometimes they fall short.

It’s a give and take. Sometimes one side excels, and sometimes the other does. But it’s not worth our lives. It’s not worth telling each other that we hate each other. We don’t hate each other.

Let’s be honest. We have issues out there. We don’t always know the best way to fix them. So, we come up with ideas and then we say, “Our way is the best way,” right? Then we get passionate, headstrong in it — and we need to bring it all in and realize that we’re doing all of this work politically for thy neighbor.

It’s not glamorous work. It’s not easy. And it’s not always popular. So we just need to bring the tone down, in my opinion.

But I’m very thankful to law enforcement. Guys, this is a great day. Look what they did. This was a dangerous person who had nothing to lose. He’s off the streets. We can breathe, okay? We can breathe.

So thank you to law enforcement.

I’m interested in finding out what truly motivated this guy. Here’s the kicker — for those still here — this is the weird thing about this case, I’ll be honest with you.

She had just had this immigration vote like two days before. But it doesn’t sound like that is what enraged this guy. Everything we’re hearing — the “no kings” stuff, the flyers in his car. But if you look at his history and who he is as a person, I’m not sure that’s what set him off. I think there’s a whole other issue here.

This man was enraged long before.

Oh, I’m sure, Lynn. I’m sure. But the weirdest part — and this is what I was under… I did a lot of research yesterday, deep-dived into his history as much as I could — and you know what stood out? It didn’t seem like immigration was his hot button.

Boston thinks he was hired. Interesting, huh?

Yeah… I don’t know. This does have the whole rubber-mask kind of feel. I mean, there is a lot of effort and time put into this. And who sits around and thinks about this kind of stuff? That’s the problem. I don’t understand.

Like he had this whole other room. I felt so bad — even his best friend, the roommate — he had a place he was staying part-time. His poor roommate — not a little guy, he’s a big guy, but you can tell he’s a softie. A big teddy bear. And at the end of it, the emotion he had thinking his friend might not be here… He doesn’t care if he has to visit him in jail. His main concern was that Vance was still alive.

He described someone totally different than what we’re seeing here. He described a man that didn’t really talk about politics, wasn’t some crazed right-winger or left-winger — however people are demonizing him.

And he walked away from the interview, tears down his face. It was heartbreaking. Because we think only of the victims of the shooter. But what about the other victims? People don’t think about the shooter’s family, friends, people who believed in him — and then he did this underhanded stuff.

From what I understand, he acted fully and totally alone.

It seems like his wife was kind of a ride-or-die type. She’s traveled all over the world with him. They were together all the time, it sounds like. So I couldn’t imagine someone like that having no knowledge. And then we learned about the apartment or the room he was renting part-time — which gave him more time to plan in private.

Granted, there was a roommate there. But if your roommate thinks you’re sleeping… well, then you’re free to plan.

It sounds like his immediate family had no clue.

So I just want to make that clear — from everything I’m reading. Because I know how social media spins stuff. It doesn’t sound like anyone else was involved.

Now, that could change at any time. I’m at the mercy of the federal government and mainstream media. But right now, it seems he acted alone.

They did detain his wife. Yep — with cash and ammo. That’s crazy. She was in a car with other family members. I don’t know who those family members were.

But we also know this man had five children. Which just adds another layer. To injure a woman when you have four daughters?

I just can’t. I really can’t. These cases hurt my heart and drive me crazy.

You wouldn’t want anyone hurting your daughter. So why would you go hurt someone else’s?

I don’t understand how a man — a father of four daughters and a son — could do that. I don’t know what goes on in people’s minds anymore. It’s hard to tell.

But you know what? At the end of the day, as tragic as this is — he’s behind bars. He’s safe. He’s unarmed. We don’t see any injuries on him. This looks like a successful takedown.

But my only problem now — and I get this is pessimistic — is that every time something happens to the government, we wrap it up in a few days. Right?

Anytime someone assaults our government or a politician — as tragic as it is, and again, I don’t want to take away from that — but it gets solved fast.

But when it comes to our children? It takes years.

The pedos online? The predators? It takes forever to shut that stuff down. But hurt a federal agent? That gets shut down in hours.

That’s the crap I don’t like about this country.
