The One Show was halted on Friday (September 19) as Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder made a huge announcement.

During tonight’s episode of the hit BBC programme, the duo joined hosts Alex Jones and Clara Amfo on the famous green sofa, alongside Take That.

Rylan and Rob were on the show to talk about the second season of their travel series, titled Rob and Rylan’s Passage to India.

The new instalment comes after the pair first travelled across Italy for their Grand Tour series last year, which notably won a BAFTA.

During the show, Rob and Rylan announced where they’ll be heading for season three.

“Both these series have seemed to transform the pair of you, and in turn then, we’ve had so much out of watching them and people absolutely love these programmes,” Alex said.

“And good news, because there’s a third series. We know where you’re off, but you’re gonna share it with our viewers, aren’t you?”

“We are off to Greece!” Rylan excitedly shared, before asking his co-star: “What are we following, I forget? The Odyssey?”

Rob then confirmed that they’d be taking inspiration from “Odysseus a little bit,” adding: “But all about philosophy and democracy, and fun and beautiful conversation.”

On the show’s lasting impact, Rylan continued: “It really has changed our lives. I’ve literally just landed from a flight from Florence.

“I’ve just come back with my partner, and I went out there and called Elizabeth, who showed us the Artemisia Gentileschi painting, and I went to see it yesterday… I’m actually high-brow now, not just eyebrow!”

Rob concluded: “I’m so proud. But also, [Rylan’s] taught me, as well, to go and delight in the world and have fun and let go a bit. That’s the kind of, if you like, benignly beautiful platonic marriage that we have.

“It’s one thing to look at the art with your head, but you’ve got to do it with your heart too, and that’s the special brand of magic that he brings us.”

Rob and Rylan’s latest series, Passage to India, follows the pair as they trace the journey of beloved author, EM Forster.

The four episodes see the pair travel across renowned cities such as Delhi and Varanasi, as well as small villages like Khajuraho.
