Born in Maine and raised in Florida, Erin Andrews always knew sports would be part of her life. She just didn’t know how big. A self-proclaimed tomboy, she spent her childhood watching Celtics games with her dad, a broadcast journalist who helped plant the seed for her future in front of the camera.
After graduating from the University of Florida, where she danced for the Gators and majored in telecommunications, Andrews started her career covering regional teams for Fox Sports Florida and Turner South. By 2004, she had landed at ESPN and quickly became one of the network’s most recognizable sideline reporters.
Her breakout came on college football broadcasts, but it didn’t stop there. MLB, basketball, the Scripps National Spelling Bee. You name it, she covered it. And in 2010, a third-place finish on Dancing with the Stars made her a pop culture name, not just a sports one.

Since 2012, Andrews has called FOX Sports home. In 2014, she took over as the lead NFL sideline reporter, joining the network’s top crew and becoming a mainstay at Super Bowls, playoffs, and all the moments fans never forget.

Marriage, Motherhood, and a Love That Lasted
Off the field, Erin keeps her personal life just that, personal. But her love story is one for the highlight reel. She began dating former NHL player Jarret Stoll in 2012. And after a few years of long-distance juggling, the two got engaged in 2016 and tied the knot in 2017.
In 2016, Erin was diagnosed with cervical cancer. It was a moment that changed everything. She underwent treatment while still covering NFL games and later opened up about her IVF journey with Stoll. In July 2023, the couple welcomed their son via surrogate, marking a new and deeply personal milestone in her life.
“It’s been a journey,” she said on her podcast. “But I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Still on the Field — and Still Unmatched
Two decades in, Andrews hasn’t lost a step. She’s still on the sidelines every NFL Sunday and still setting the standard for sports broadcasting. She’s also making time to empower women — in the booth, in the boardroom, and now in motherhood.
