Popovich was with the team on Thursday for the first time since he suffered a stroke in November. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Popovich had an “emotional” meeting with his players, and his coaching future is still uncertain.

“Mitch Johnson and his staff have done a wonderful job, and the resolve and professionalism the players have shown … has been outstanding. I will continue to focus on my health with the hope that I can return to coaching in the future,” Popovich said in a statement.

NBA fans continue to pray for Popovich as he recovers from a stroke.
