As ESPN’s Tim Legler pointed out on Saturday during ABC’s broadcast of the Golden State Warriors vs.

Philadelphia 76ers, Stephen Curry has done just about everything a player can do on a basketball court over the past six years.

Curry has won a championship, been named to numerous All-Star and All-NBA teams and even won a Clutch Player of the Year Award to boot.

What Curry hasn’t done since 2019, however, is dunk a basketball.

But late in the fourth quarter, with the Warriors trying to mount a fourth-quarter comeback, the opportunity for Curry to try to inject some juice into his team and show off some of his 36-year-old bounce arose.

Ultimately, the dunk was a fun viral moment, but in the end, it was not quite enough, as the Warriors wound up losing to the Sixers by a final score of 126-119.

While the Warriors were without the help of Jimmy Butler, due to some lower back soreness, there’s still no real valid excuse for the Warriors to lose to a team that, coming into the matchup, was on a nine-game losing streak.

When considering that, the loss came not at the hands of the Sixers star duo of Tyrese Maxey or Paul George, but rather Quentin Grimes, who went off for a career-high 44 points.

While the Warriors have been on a roll of late, they are still deadlocked in the bottom half of the tightly assembled Western Conference playoff standings.

And while they had a chance to leapfrog the Clippers into the sixth-seed, with a win against the lowly Sixers, they ultimately remain in the play-in tournament because of their inability to take care of business.

This costly loss could be one that the Warriors look back on a handful of weeks from now as a particularly haunting loss.
