The New York Knicks were without Karl-Anthony Towns this Tuesday night against the Golden State Warriors.

Prayers Pouring In For Karl-Anthony Towns Amid Absence From Knicks - The Spun

Unfortunately for Tom Thibodeau, it’s possible his All-Star’s absence will linger for the next few games.

Thibodeau said Towns was out on Tuesday due to personal reasons. With a West Coast road trip coming up, the Knicks coach said his center “needs some time and when he’s ready to come back, he’ll come back.”

That’s obviously not what fans want to hear.

While fans wait for an update on Towns, it’s worth noting that his girlfriend Jordyn Woods posted this message on social media: “[Expletive] Cancer.”

Fans are convinced this has to do with Towns’ absence from the hardwood.

Although there’s not a ton of information out right now, Knicks fans are seriously worried about Towns.

As a result, they’re keeping him and his loved ones in their prayers.

“KAT has been through a whole lot. He lost 8 family members, including his mother, just a few years back.

Pray for the Towns and Woods families,” KnicksMuse tweeted.

“Kat been through so much man,” another Knicks fan said.

“Prayers for KAT and his family,” a social media user added.

Back in October, the Knicks traded Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, Keita Bates-Diop and a 2025 first-round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Towns. So far, they’ve won that trade.

Towns has been outstanding for the Knicks, averaging 24.5 points and 13.4 rebounds per game. If they’re going to make a run in the Eastern Conference, they’ll need him healthy and playing at an elite level.

The Knicks should provide an update on Towns later this week.
