But this offseason, from my understanding, Suns and Durant would work together on any potential trade to a contender in a trade scenario.

I would expect 4 to 6 contending teams with some serious involved in Durant,” stated Shams Charania on ESPN.

Despite having a star trio of Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, Phoenix has lacked consistency.
